Since this thread was closed, let's hope this is a bit fairer. The battle of the OP MCs continues!

Rules:

• For all rounds: Win by K.O or incapacitation only. In-character. One week of prep time.

• Round 1: Speed equalized. Base Ikki (cannot go into Ittou Shura or above. Let's just say he used it up somewhere) vs SAO, ALO, GGO Composite Kirito only.

• Round 2: Speed not equalized. Base Ikki (but can go into Ittou Shura only) vs Full Composite Kirito (Not counting Alicization stats, only abilities).

(We can change the rules at any time to make the fight more fair)

Like the first thread, the match takes place in a Vytal Festival Tournament-like arena with the flat terrain:

My knowledge on both characters is limited, but I'd say that Ikki's raw swordsmanship (at least single-handed) is greater. Furthermore, he's better than Kirito in that he's able to copy all of his sword skills over the course of the fight.

However, Kirito has the advantage of flight and the stat amping from his swords. So he definitely wins out in raw power. Without Ittou Shura, Ikki is going to have a tough time.

I'll give it to Ikki with high difficulty for round one.

As for round 2, I don't think I'll be able to make a proper judgment due to not knowing anything about the Alicization arc, but Kirito might be able to pull off a high difficulty win if he exploits his Ice Manipulation and Plant Manipulation powers.

Taking away Ittou Shura is kind of cheap if you ask me, but Ikki wins Round One regardless due to being so much more skilled than Kirito that it's actually funny, goes to not even funny and then right back to hilarious. If anyone is wondering how can he get past the AP/Dura difference, he has a counter move called Madoka that redirects the attacker's full strenght back to them, and it's very spammable.

Kirito has so much more hax in Round Two that it might actually be a stomp. He gets blitzed if Ikki manages to use Ittou Shura, though.

And while none of these two actually have that much plot armor, despite being OP, i think Kirito has more.

R1: Perfect Vision, Madoka, Trackless Step, Blade Steal, Shinkirou, Dokuga no Tachi and Instant Acceleration would like to have a word with you. Also, Ikki can still amp his stats even without Ittou Shura. Just throwing that out there.

R2: Kirito has transmutation and flash-freezing here, so if Ikki doesn't go into Ittou Shura as soon as the fight starts, he's the one that gets stomped instead.

Thanks for the replies guys! Just gonna throw this out here: Which round seems more fair/which should we focus on? Round one is more of a battle of skill, which Ikki takes for sure, whereas round two is more inconclusive, as both have ways of killing eachother in one blow.

To make both rounds possibly more fair: For round 1, do a composite Kirito that does not have Alicization stats (so only up to GGO), but other than that, keep it the same. For round 2, probably do nothing with it. It seems fine as is. What do you guys think of making round 2 speed equalized? Probably a bad idea, but I just wanna hear suggestions.

I just want a round to focus on so that I could start adding votes. ^^

Changing R1 to SAO/ALO/GGO composite Kirito is definitely more fair, though my vote would be the same. Equalizing speed in R2 makes it a stomp in Kirito's favor.

As to which round should we focus on, i really have no idea. Sorry. I know how i said that the focus should be on the fairer one, but i don't know which one it is here. R1 might seem fairer at first, but there isn't actually anything Kirito could do to win. He might be able to do it with Starburst Stream or Eclipse, but i can't help but think that the first hit would be Madoka'd and Kirito would be sent out of range, or that Ikki would just bait Kirito with Shinkirou or Trackless Step.

R2 is tricky. Both can one-shot the other with techniques that they wouldn't normally use at the start, which is why i didn't vote on that one.

Kirito's flight, elemental sword attacks, higher stats and sword skills are offset by Ikki's massively superior swordsmanship, hypersenses, instant accel, trackless step, Madoka, and skill copying.

Ikki high-diffs.

R2

Depends on whether or not Ikki is bloodlusted or in enough mind conditioning to throw down Ittou Shura immediately.

With Ittou Shura active, Ikki blitzstomps with the speed that puts any version below Alicization Kirito to shame.

Without, Kirito would hold back on using his Alicization haxx until his hand is forced, which could be given that he's massively outskilled.

50/50 on this one.
