Ukitake will unleash Mimihagi and fly up to the soul palace through the black sustance. Yhwach will be taken aback since Mimihagi is helping Ukitake not appear in the Almighty eyes vision of the future by the sudden attack that he will dodge anyway. Ukitake then unleashes bankai just for Yhwach to use his powers of "making his power his allie" and crush Ukitake and send him back through the black Mimihagi energy and slammed him against the floor in Seireitei killing him. (New scene, new battle, new bankai, end result the same and it didn't change much of the story.)
