statements form the source or Kubo that Mayuri has surpassed Aizen when Kubo wrote otherwise? there aren’t, stop right here with your headcanon then.
Intelligence also is not something you can increase so easily, you can only specialise in stuff and increase knowledge but that doesn’t make you smarter. Aizen ain’t even passing his entire life inside a lab like mayuri and matched Urahara‘s greatest creation, the Hogyoku, while young just because he wanted so.

Ok, just joined this specific thread. I finished Bleach and the Thousand Year War arc a few weeks ago. I generally enjoyed the series, was really entertaining. Some of Ichigo's fights felt kinda boring at times cuz there wasn't much uniqueness, but I really enjoyed his battle with Ulquiorra and Aizen. Waiting eagerly for the 2nd season of the new arc to be released.
I got a question here, though. What's the main reason there are so few matches with Bleach and the main characters in general? Is it cuz there's too many hax for the characters or what?

I hate when that happens. But could somebody like clarify what hax specifically make it hard for matches to be made? Like I got a general gist of the physiologies of Hollows and Soul Reapers, but it's still unclear.

Probably the biggest issue is how many layers the verse gets in soul manipulation

Layered passive aoe soul hax via reiatsu will do that.
Instant win against anyone that doesn't have enough soul hax resistance.
Only quincies can have good matches because they don't leak reiatsu , but their attacks still carry layered soul hax, so they can still easily win as long as they can touch their opponent.

We might actually get some OP vs Bleach matches soon since One Piece's Haki may give Non-Physical Interaction, finally allowing OP Haki users to actually hit Bleach characters.

Also just gonna share my general opinion on the Bleach series again. Everybody talked about how awesome of a villain Aizen was, and I already knew beforehand he'd be a traitor. At first, I wasn't overly impressed with Aizen. The moment where I truly started to fall in love with the character is when he revealed his plan to Shinji after Hollowfying his soldiers, that he intentionally took advantage of Shinji's distrust of Aizen to replace him with a copy of himself so that Shinji wouldn't notice. The way that he was able to blatantly take advantage of someone's mistrust of him and play it so brilliantly really made me understand how smart this guy was, how he was playing a game of chess that nobody could match. Then his plans during the fake Katakura town arc and how he dealt with Captain Yamamoto were truly awesome. Then there's his awesome villainous breakdown when he's being sealed away. His final speech about victors has really stuck with me, much more than the trust speech. He really is one of shonen's best villains.
