Absorbing Mimihagi is over 75 chapters away, they would need to adapt nearly 6 chapters per episode for it to end around there which doesn't seem feasible with when we know there is at least one extended fight in this cour.

Well, Japan has a population density of 335.49 persons per square kilometer back in the year 2000.
New Seireitei size has a area of 1938170 square kilometers.
Making an estimated population to be 650236653, or over six-hundred and fifty million citizens.
Those 6000 Shinigami would consitute 0.00091% of the Seireitei's population.
Though it's possible for the Seireitei to have a different population density, though if anything it would be higher since most of the time we see it, it's mostly buildings and cityscape.

Renji was there because he was a rival in the way that he had the similar fighting spirit and goal to get stronger, same as Ichigo at the time, and Byakuya. If not, feel free to revise upgrade early TYBW Kenpachi, Byakuya, and Renji to High 6-A like Fullbring Ichigo instead of Large Country level (like early TYBW Kenpachi and Byakuya are), and show me how Fullbring Bankai Ichigo = Byakuya, despite him struggling hard against Tsukisihima, while Tsukishima got shat on by regular complete fullbring, no shinigami powers Ichigo. Just via this scaling chain, there is OBVIOUSLY something going on, showing us that they are talking about something other than power.

There are many others who have that same fighting spirit, not just those particular people. What evidence do you have that his “Complete Fullbring” who was supposed to be “beyond his previous shinigami powers” is not as powerful as his Fullbring Bankai? Both forms have hollow, shinigami and Fullbring powers. He could be talking about something else than power, but your explanation leaves holes for setback counters.
