I think this scene kinda explains why Candice and Meninas were weakened in general, in CFYOW. Auswählen took their Vollständig, but Giselle's Schrift made them even weaker.

She's probably stronger than base Thousand-Year Blood War Kenpachi, but I'm not sure about Shikai or Bankai Kenpachi. Plus, she can only do that temporarily.
No, not really. Mayuri can still find Candice and Meninas' corpses and use them in his Kurotsuchi Corpse Unit afterwards.

That was good.That OST that plays during Nemu’s flashback and rescue of Mayuri had a grown man choking up
I've never been a big fan of this part of the fight, for many reasons.
Pernida did look way better this time.

The only minor retcon would be that,in CFYOW, Mayuri states Candice and Meninas were on the verge of death when he found them (and he healed them, saving them), but since we know they're zombies in the anime, that means they're actually dead.
But yeah, this doesn't really change anything regarding CFYOW and its canonicity.

That's true. I forgot that they weren't fully dead when Mayuri found them.
Still, yeah, this doesn't change much. It's a pretty minor retcon.

Can we talk about their psuedo-Vollstandigs, they have skulls on them. Looks like Giselle kept a small bit of her power left and transferred it to them. Or maybe, it's something else. Thoughts?

I think they're possibly Pseudo-Voll Stern Dich's. Maybe Giselle saved them before they completely lost their powers? I don't really know.
Still, this is neat. Yhwach gets the Thunderbolt and the Power now (not that they're that useful to him, but still, that's neat).

I’m thinking that’s probably the case, since Kubo drew death art for them when that happened. However, I wouldn’t have put it past Giselle to finish them off if they survived akin to what she did to Bambi.

ALSO I don't wanna be that guy, but it's never confirmed that Pernida ended up scaling to Kenpachi. He assuming they had evolved to that level, but we don't know if they necessarily had already.

What an amazing episode. I almost cried when Nemuri died, and I have seen that fight millions of times. I really liked the inclusion of Mayuri activating his device used to counter Pernida, in the manga it was very ambiguous what happened.
