You kinda need a reason why he would win, and thats Clefairy from the Pocket Monsters Manga, which is the one being used in the battle

Oh, then I its more comeptitive, but I'd still give it to Asgore barely since he has power. But Barrier, Hypnosis or Metrinome, are going to be a problem for Asgore. Sorry bout the misunderstanding.

Depends on the old guy's mindset.

Normally, he wouldn't go all out, so Clefairy would take it. But otherwise, Asgore's Soul hax should be able to easily take Clefairy down.

Isnt Clefairy part normal type? Wouldnt that mean it would have natural resistance to Asgore's soul hax given it being basically classified as the Ghost type?

Prior to Gen 6 it was. Now it's pure Fairy. You're probably thinking of the Igglybuff line.
