Arc System Works Discussion Thread 2

Saying it’s an opinion doesn’t really change the fact it’s such a random/simple minded reason to like a series. I really wouldn’t give a shit about any series that I like being broken as hell if it’s still the same series that I fell in love with in the first place. Even if it was haxless I’d still love it.

as for which one has the better story, you’re better off playing the games since I never sent that far into guilty gear’s story.

I've never played BlazBlue or any Arc System works. Are the games generally good? Wanna know before I consider buying.

Most of them are good, even with the simple one like Strive
Blazblue and older Guilty Gear games are pretty hard in general but wouldn't stop it from having a blast

I've always planned to buy Blazblue one of these days tbh, just didn't know if it was worth it or not lol. How hard is it?

@azontr the BlazBlue games are good. Some of the most advanced/technical 2-D fighters I’ve played with a lot of freedom with combo routes, practically every character feeling so different to play. The story being pretty wack but also fun (helps that the series makes fun of itself a lot for how confusing it can get and the gag reels are a treat). Music is god tier and it’s always on sale on steam.

What's the most recent game? I'd rather just buy that instead of going from the first game up to the last.

Just letting you know, since you’re only gonna be playing CF you’re gonna miss out on gems like this.

I mean CF most likely isn't the only game I'm going to play, if I enjoy it enough I'll buy the other games as well.

Gurd, now you’ll know the experience of Ragna and his messed up family tree.

Yeah no I’m being serious, if you think you’ve seen everything with BlazBlue, you’re almost always wrong because it somehow outdoes itself with how ridiculous and wacky it gets

If you want I can show you more out of context scenes from older BlazBlue game so you can see how crazy it can get. 👀👀👀

Well, most of Blazblue gags are very funny, it helps you relax after surfing in the story 💀💀💀

That’s the best part, since you don’t know what’s even the context it might make you wanna know out of morbid curiosity. Also they do explain what’s happening but it’s funnier that you don’t know the context to these scenes.

Noel's a girl while Hazama/Terumi's a guy. And Noel's one of the nicest characters in the series and yet she's the dominant one in the relationship.

Also it goes without saying that the music in the series is godlike and one of the best OSTs in all of gaming.

One of the strongest and most haxxed verses on the site and yet it's also the most goofy one 🗿

I'm def buying these games.

@Shmooply you lie as naturally as you breath, Jubei stan.

@azontr Like I said, the rabbit hole for blazblue goofiness never ends, both story wise and even gameplay wise as some combo routes are so ******* wack yet so entertaining you can't help but appreciate the art that goes into making something as ridiculous as it. I will warn you though, Calamity Trigger on PC for some godforsaken reason is stuck on 30 FPS, once in a blue moon it would run at 60, which you're gonna need to consistently pull off supers as that's one of the requirements to unlock certain story paths for certain characters if you wanna see everything.

Since blazblue and guilty gear both appeared in the cross tag battle does that mean blazblue and guilty gear are in one big multiverse or is cross tag battle not canon?
