Anyways, Articuno is 1.75 times stronger, so the strength advantage is basically non-existent. Both are also resistant to ice attacks, so their ice abilities won't matter.

This gives Articuno a hefty advantage, as it has plenty of other options to use like confusing Aokiji or putting him to sleep (Both of which would leave Aokiji wide open for an attack).

Yeah, since both resists each other's main trick it comes to versatility. Kuzan has Haki, but he can't counter SEI at all.

Articuno doesn't resist ice. It's part flying type so ice is entirely neutral. Articuno also doesn't get any sleep inducing moves.

Articuno is immune to AZ, whereas Aokiji doesn't seem to resist ice attacks that cold.

Check again. It says "Resistance to Ice Attacks" on Articuno's profile.

And I'm saying that's wrong. It has no resistance to ice attacks and that's entirely dictated by the battle system every Pokemon has to obey. Show me Articuno resisting ice type attacks.

The neutral damage is likely game mechanics. There should be a source where he actually resists.

Mind Reader is only a guaranteed hit in the games. It's just slight precog, like normal Haki.
Sheer Cold can still be spammed then.

Also, Ice resistance comes from the immunity to Hail and Absolute Zero (Aka, Sheerk Cold).

Aokiji is ice. That's like saying fire can be burned by the sun.
Not at all. Ice can be brought down to absolute zero, just like anything else.

I still don't see where you're getting that Articuno resists sheer cold. Ice types can be hit by it too. It also has a near 0% chance to hit, if not 0, considering it hits only %20 of the time and Aokiji has amazing observation Haki. He can be seen using his Haki similarly to Katakuri and pre-breaking his body long before an enemy attack even manifests. Sheer cold is not a factor. Kuzan fought a direct weekness in Akainu for 10 entire days, what is Articuno going to do? If anything Kuzan would Haki crush the poor weak-willed bird.

Doesn't Articuno live in and thrive under tundra conditions in the game? Regardless of its typing, that would probably give it extra cold resistance.

>Normal is immune to Ghost.

>Ice resists itself.

>Normal is weak to Fighting.

>Ice is weak to rock, fire, fighting, steel.

Ice is a sh** defensive type.

Tfw elemental strengths and weaknesses between different verses don't apply the same way in Vs battles.

I think Akainu should really be 6B so he'll win, not sure if I can give that as a reason in a vs thread.

Freezing is way worse. Sleep is 3 turns or less. Having a frozen pokemon is like losing a party member unless it has scald or something.

Doods are ignoring that there are no insta-freezing moves while there surely is a big bunch of moves that put pokemon to sleep.
