It just allow to control the plot he created. Nothing other he will just control how thing are and his demon god by ex was able to make Yog sothoth a real thing from the fiction

The point is just that goetia can make reality a story with a fiction and control it. What he do when he control ? He make the salem of the legend the real one, created a fictionnal abby, summon the fictional yog sothoth in and so make everyone go the mad because outer god shit. But he don't actively control the thing itself habitualy, it's more the demong god that are of him who do that.
He will not do that himself but the demon god with only ability is doing that, will do it.
