Monster House isn't supposed to look polished or appealing. It's supposed to be a good bit off putting. Even on first watch I fully expected it to be a non kids movie simply by the animation . (Specifically neck shit, gets me to this day.).

OP isekai genre is only bad if the animation is bad. the purpose of OP isekai is to create some dumb cool ass fights and if the animation isn't up to those task they end up being generic or lackluster trash without any quality story telling unless it actually has some
