Arima vs Ray
The White Reaper

This is a really fair match needless to say. Good job bro!

Okay then. Knowing that Raiden has numerous arsenal which are equal to Arima, we would say that this is an inconclusive match, right?

Wrong.

Raiden's arsenal is limited in the amount of hax compared to Arima. Arima has more power behind his qunique and more range. I mean, Kaneki, with his third kakuja, was barely capable of keeping up with him. It should be noted that Kaneki is physically stronger than MGRV 2 Raiden.

I will give this one for Arima via more verstaile arsenal and more ranged attacks.

If "Normal" Raiden means his MGS 2 human version with weapons, a case for both sides could be made. Raiden has a disadvantage in durability and striking strength in his MGS 2 version and his base speed is slower, but his combat speed is higher (Subsonic+ vs Superhuman and Hypersonic combat speed) .Because of his reactions I would actually back Raiden if this situation is meant (HF Blade with higher reaction speed is pretty dangerous due to the function of the blade). If he takes a hit as human it is over, but as mentioned his reactions are much better.

If 8-B means MGS4 Raiden or MGR:R beginning Raiden, Arima would be screwed. Raiden could completely dance circles around him and either slice and dice him with his HF Blade or throw him all over Tokyo until Arima is broken (Subsonic+ vs High Hypersonic and Class K Lifting strength)

Mariachi-Raiden automatically wins through ultimate awesomeness and by playing the MGR:R soundtrack

So R1 Raiden more often than not as a human, since he is done if he takes a hit but can fight at higher speed (can't be blitzed, even with lower movement speed). MGS 4 and MGR:R-Beginning Cyborg-Raiden 10/10 since he is to fast, agile and outclasses him physically (Lifting strength is and will be an advantage in combination with his HF-Blade)

R2 10/10 Since he has to be MGR:R Raiden with even higher speed and an awesome soundtrack to boot

Speed i equalized, bro.
I read the Standard Battle Assumptions and it isn't noticed there either

How much experience does Arima posess? They have the same age, but Raiden grew up fighting an advantage especially since his knowledge of enemies is broad

Does Arima prefer quick or powerful attacks? Raiden would clearly overpower him in a bladelock for example, or could ragdoll him H2H (Superhuman Lifting strength vs Class K)

Does Arima has a healing factor ? It isn't listed and could be an advantage or even necessary since Raiden is hard to put down( we are talking about a guy that can take on a group of superhuman soldiers , after being heavily injured and without his arms)

Equalized speed definitely makes this fairer. It was Mach 0.9 at max vs Mach 25 at low end before

Right now I still would favor Raiden, although he wouldn't crush him with his speed now

Arima has been trained to fight superhuman opponents since he was a child, if not a toddler. In addition, from the moment he picked up a blade he has had an unbroken killstreak.

Arima typically strikes from a distance, then closes in when the opponent is weak, though his most powerful weapons are melee-range. And yes, he prefers quick attacks when he enters melee, as his extreme agility is one of his greatest advantages, and the vast majority of ghouls are far stronger than they appear.

He does not possess a healing factor, which is why he compensates with his agility. His fighting style revolves around avoiding the enemy's every attack, whether that be through distance, dodging, or various quinque tricks like the shield

So they also fight very similar styles, after a similar upbringing

I am supporting Raiden under this conditions though. Both won't let the other tag them easily, but as soon as it comes to a bit prolonged contact or CQC, Raiden his a massive advantage and could overpower him easily, especially since it has been shown that he won't go down easy and can perform strong even after being heavily injured

Off Topic though, but this comment is ridiculous. No one in the whole verse could replicate Raidens physical feat of Outer Haven, which is

a.) His weakest incarnatio

And

b.) Performed whilst already being injured

His earlier feat of breakdancing with two Gekkos attached to his legs and pushing himself up with one hand in the air is already crazy. They can't replicate MGR:R first body Raiden feats of throwing a Metal Gear and especially not his feat of flipping Metal Gear EXCELSUS in his second body

Even the earliest cyborg Gray Fox is superior by stopping REX from stomping Snake (and also Big Boss with his lifting feats from Peace Walker)
