@Ruphas_Mafahl123 : You-you see there are lot of cultural issues-
@MeiouHades: I hate them
Right, but
as an ethnic Japanese who grew in Malaysia for most of his life till today, I can assure our cultures are miles apart from the Western mindset, there are a lot of cultural issues....altho, unlike the West, we may criticize the works but we respect authors.....stablishing your headcanons in spite of what the author says, even if there are inconsistencies chronologically-wise, it's plain disrespectful. In the west there are plenty of cases of fans sending death threats to writers/authors on social media or physically assaulting/harassing them in public.
In regards you hating us, Japanese, it's fine, you are in ur own right to dislike Japanese culture becouse I admit, it has lots of bad aspects....., but mind you, you consume all of our media frequently, I'm sure you enjoy anime and the stuff...
Canonicity may be discussed in Eastern forums at times, yeah, but we are not vehemently obssesed with it.
We will never say "oh Dragon Ball GT doesn't exist or is invalid becouse Toriyama wasn't involved". We just count it as an alternate timeline, the value of a series isn't determined as wherether it fits into the main continuity or doesn't.....
In Japan Daima was a success, much more than DBS, however in the Western hemisphere fans seem to hate it becouse it's not linked to Super or that all the main characters were turned into children, funnily enough this is Toriyama's style and this is the first time he was heavily involved in a series, much more than Dragon Ball Super....
