All Might:6

Sceptile:9

So...what should I do? Just have this added or wait for the whole composite profile thing to be addressed?

Also the score was 6-8 when grace ended way ago, so will this go down as a Incon or a win due to the new vote?

I have no idea how we handle something like that, 'cause I know someone do that once to try and net their character a win...

so I dunno how that could be handled.

When has a vote of 8-6 ever gave a inconclusive I checked https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Versus_Thread_Rules and I can't see anything about that, all that theirs is:

'For a verdict, there must be at least seven votes in favor of one character/team, with a minimum difference of three votes. Some examples:

  • A final vote tally of 6-0 will be considered invalid.
  • A final vote tally of 7-0 will be considered valid.
  • A final vote tally of 7-4 will be considered valid.
  • A final vote tally of 7-5 will be considered invalid.'
'If both sides have equivalent posts with constructive arguments, the thread shall be deemed inconclusive.'

You get incon if there isn't a big enough difference in votes. Tho I'm not sure now if that applies here.

Grace doesn't keep going once the gap lowers though. The thread just gets taken out of grace.

The only threads I can recall that inconned without people voting for incon was the ones where there was like, 20 votes for each side.

Sceptile:12

Grace after Sceptile's victory has already technically passed. I'm just waiting for someone to clarify if this should be added, because of the issues Assalt had.

I'm going to make a thread of why characters that have no knowable personality can't be used for VS debating, have no fear.

That's......gonna be a massive bad decision if its accepted.

Are you trying this for downplaying Pokemon and make them unusable?

A entire species should not be treated like a character, at the very least I would like to see something done about that.

That's probably the least of your concerns if Kep doesn't find something he was looking for

Say goodbye to every match with a JRPG character and hello to literally only anime/comic fighters.
Inconsistent personalities for comic characters, anime only allowed, I make my exodus back to my cave to hide until the nuclear anime winter is over

Most RPG characters are typecast into the hero or villain role by the narrative. Even if you play like a madman with the Dragonborn, you will always end up being the hero and saving the world.

The World Guardian from RuneScape is even more linear than that, as he will always end up being a mercenary that is still in it for the common good as well as himself.

Many of these characters come with a "default" build that they appear most iconically with, such as Cloud with the Buster Sword. There are very few characters that have no salvageable battle strategy or personality, but a random member of a species certainly fits that mold.

Also don't some of the TES games have optional endings where you **** over the world

At the same time, some individuals of groups, like the High Templar, have a standard moveset and a generic way of operating that can be applied to VS debates. All depends on the character itself

Space Marines, for example, really don't. There's a huge amount of variance with their equipment, mindsets, armor, abilities, etc due to the variety of chapters, so I usually ask for more specifics on the marine in use. Same for titanfall pilots, there's not a standard loadout or standard mindset beyond "shoot enemy and don't die", so I set the loadout myself.

Your issue with pokemon files can pretty easily be solved by OP just being a little more specific.
