Accounting for strength of wind

So I'm trying to get a workable durability from characters who get blasted by by this giant planet spinning fan, and the biggest hurdle is trying to figure out how much weaker the wind would become by the time it reaches and hits Mario and his enemies. Is there a way to figure out how strong the wind from the fan would be by the time it reaches the distance Mario or whoever else is floating at?
