A Minor God Brothers Revision

Nope, nothing is left over

You dont need to erase someone's soul to erase their body from existence

Sorry to bump this thread, but has there been a consensus on adding Existence Erasure to their page? It appears to be in agreement yet I did not see it on their page.

Wrath Of Itachi said:
It can be EE without destroying the soul. It just means people with Low-Godly and above can regen from it.
"Existence Erasure is the simple power to remove something from existence, leaving nothing behind, a level of destruction beyond incineration, vaporization, and atomization. Rather than just reducing something to its constituent parts, this ability leaves absolutely nothing behind. Powerful enough uses of this ability can even erase the mind and soul, if not more fundamental aspects of one's existence, such as concepts."

While technically with this wording you can argue "Physical EE" is a thing, that isn't really how the series portrays it. These screenshots clearly show Ozma is being disolved into particles by the god, rather than straight up vanishing or "being erased" as one would say. Same for the humans getting wiped out, leaving ash particles behind.

Since we have no further elaboration on how the abilities in these two instances worked from lore or other information, we can only go off of what was shown and portrayed in the scenes. And what is portrayed here is targets fading into particles, not vanishing. Therefore this falls more in line with deconstruction. A similar case is MCU Thanos. His snap shows his targets being faded into dust, therefore he was given deconstruction as well. Don't see how this is any different.

Not really, Thanos left dust when he deconstructed, if you watch the actual clips for the God Brothers you see the particles fade into nothing, hence why its EE instead of Decnostruction

No you can clearly see ash still floating around after everyones been killed. Even if the particles eventually fade from view thats still not a good argument. When you deconstruct something it can fade smaller and smaller to a point it cannot be seen.

AogiriKira is probably correct.

@Aogiri No actually you cant, thats why its EE, which is backed up by the writers stating that the brothers erased humanity

Yes you actually can. Ive seen the clip and even posted a screenshot of it right there. Notice all the little black particles floating through the air?

And im gonna need a scan of that, because simply stating "The brothers erased humanity" doesn't exactly constitute EE on it's own.

The particles fade, though...

No actually you cant. The entire point of having Deconstruction is reducing someone to a pile of matter. If there is no matter left over its not Decon, its EE.

"The Brothers erased humanity" coupled with them on-screen erasing humanity absolutely constitutes as EE

Yes you actually can you are ignoring my screenshot and the ash particles shown in the clip when God of Darkness kills everyone. Its clear as day to see. And you still haven't even given a scan. You are either choosing to be ignorant to what is shown, or you are lying.

If they fade away into particles, it's still only deconstruction.

I'm not really knowledgeable enough on the verse to make any serious discussion, but from what I see, it's definitely deconstruction. Even if the particles fade, that's just... what happens when particles are swept away. They look like they've faded into nothing. I don't think there's enough in the context to suggest it was EE rather than deconstruction.

And here is another clip of their "erasure" feat in the same episode, that clearly shows particles looming through the air long after they've been killed.

As you can see. Ash is still floating around. Little black flakes.

Also a citation is still needed for them being stated to be erased.

I still think that AogiriKira and DarkGrath make sense.

If you watch the entire clip you see that the 'flakes' dissapear seconds after thyre shown

No the perspective changes, and focuses on the gods.

Damage and IMade are probably correct.

A bit of an off topic point. If the planet wiping attack left ash particles, then that should be a feat for Salem. Right now her highest tier for Regenerationn is Low-High from being reduced to a puddle by Ozma. With this one, it should bump her to Mid-High.

Here is the pic that shows the aftermath. Since Salem is glowing, it clearly indicates that her immortality protected her.

I went back and rewatched the clip and its not just the lighting. She is actually glowing for a bit after it happens.

You could probably CRT this and argue her immortality protected her thus making this a regen feat.

Yeah like the gods probably know how strong her Regen is because they did say she wouldn't die until she learned the meaning of life and death

Since the suggestion seems to have been rejected, should I close this thread?
