More precisely, for the first case I was thinking of strategy and RPGs where characters automatically counterattack after being attacked, such as Breath of Fire or Final Fantasy Tactics. At first I thought it could be a lesser variant of Instinctive Reaction (given the attack is outside the planned commands of the turn and comes with no player input), but Instinctive Reaction specifies the user must actually be able to unconsciously be able to avoid incoming attacks to qualify.

The second case would moves like Marth's Counter in Smash Bros, which it's triggered, can nullify an incoming attack and strike back. Given the damage is dependant of the power of the countered move, would it be some sort of Attack Reflection?

Was also wondering, attacks that can One Hit Kill but don't explicitely use Death properties could count as a kind of smite? For example, Final Fantasy Odin's famous Zantetsuken.
