9-B+ Tournament round 1, match 3 (Kool aid man vs Brad Armstrong)

Kool has the AP and intelligence advantage

Brad has the versatility and range advantage, and can potentially reduce the AP gap with stat amp

I'll wait for the supporters to give further details

Lol, that is precisely the kind of fight Brad'd get into.

So, let's get to analysing! Note, however, that I am not a specialist in Kool-Aid Man, so I may be missing context here or make wrong assumptions. I'll be basing on the profiles alone.

AP: The raw numbers on the AP initially make it obvious that the Kool-Aid Man is stronger, which, really, I don't doubt, but we need to keep in mind that the feat Brad scales to is done rather early on, and he gets considerably stronger over the course of the game, through both battling, equipment and stat boosting items, and that's before he further amplifies his stats and reduces the Kool Aid Man's own with his techniques. So, I'd say that their AP is more equal than initially appears. In fact, I'll say that Brad gets a full advantage the moment he uses joy, even if we assume he still only had the base energy value. Joy more than doubles his attack and critical hit chance.

LS: For the sake of fairness, I'll assume they are equal, because the Kool-Aid Man has Unknown and Brad is Class 5.

Durability & Toughness: Looking at the profiles... Kool-Aid Man has his inorganic physiology and self-sustenance, which are fine and dandy. Brad, however, not only can heal himself with items, but is chock-full of insane durability, stamina, pain and wound tolerance feats. He can fight even without both his arms, he can fight while crippled by the agonizing pain of said lost arms, can fight while being heavily debuffed by severe withdrawal, can still fight with efficacy even while on fire, poisoned and under other status effects. Heck, when he was really motivated, becoming a porcupine of spears, arrows, bullet wounds and entire swords driven into his body didn't really impede his fighting ability.

P&A: This is... Odd. Kool-Aid Man has flight of quite a high level, so he'd have no problem staying afar from Brad, but aside from that, Brad has vastly superior combat application for his powers. But, to be honest, the Kool-Aid Man seems like a brawler type, and fighting on Brad's playing field would allow Brad to make full use of his capacities.

Equipment: This is a field that the Kool-Aid Man has a significant superiority over Brad. Even restricting his time machine, his equipment is still far more versatile than Brad's, who can at best take some healing items and stat-amping gear. And, of course, Joy.

Skill: Eh, the Kool-Aid Man is a genius at inventing things. His actual combat feats seem to be rather lacking. Brad invented an entire martial arts style, and those taught to use it are by far the most efficient fighters in all of Olathe. Not only that, but he could learn other styles and incorporated their teachings just by reading their scrolls. He has used his style efficiently even against armed opponents, from swordsmen to gunslingers.

Really, I can't see Brad losing this, to be honest. Kool-Aid Man is tough and would make him bleed a bit, but he's not that different from the sort of weirdos that Brad is used to fight. I say Brad wins this rather conclusively, with mid-high difficulties at most.
