Rules​

• Location: Spirit Stream Arena
• 16 participants
• Entries must be 8-C or High 8-C (though not High 8-C+), though they can have higher tier attacks that doesn’t scale to their general striking strength/durability
• Entries must have an inclination towards hand-to-hand combat
  • Though they can obviously have supplementary abilities (Energy Attacks, Shockwaves, Fire Manipulation, Air Manipulation, ect), no overtly overpowered hax abilities are allowed
• Speed will be equalized in each match if there’s over a 3x gap
• One entry per person

I don't want to be the partypooper (also because I'm an MK fan lol) but Scorpion's High 8-C+, while the rules dictate the characters must be below that.

However, if we try to balance things out, or straight up split the tournament in 8-C and High 8-C brackets (which doesn't seem that viable, admittedly) we might allow them to stay.

Skill debating is always an arbitary clusterfuck where they just go
My guy beat x guy who beat x girl who beat x guy but weaker who beat a tree (but it was a very sturdy tree) who beat some old dude who was renouned as the best ma in his world.
But then its like... 90% of the characters in that world are regular human tier fighters with that level of skill. But no one will mention that. They'll just say 'best ma' as if that means the same in a verse like that as it does in something like xianxia.
We have, far as I can see, absolutely no indexing for skill beyond noting it in inteligence and listing specific techniques.

Just for clarification; does "hand-to-hand combat" mean exclusively boxer-style combatants or does any form of CQC combat qualify?
