8-A Brackets Round 10

Truth be told, so had I until I stumbled across one of the previous matches while browsing.

Oh and the lifting strength that Ke-Pa scales well above is 3.12x Kary's lifting strength feat, though I suppose she's well above that feat as well. Still, TK should slow her down a fair bit, enough to get hit by the large AoE fire breath

TK isn't gonna let her get hit by fire breath when she can just teleport though. That feat was done before tripling her strength so the difference would be negligible anyways.

To be fair, even if she tripled her strength she's still got worse lifting strength than characters who Ke-Pa easily restrained. Teleportation is fair ig, if it has enough range.

I'm not saying the TK stuff will completely restrain her, but it should slow her down by a fair bit. The lifting strength that KFP guys scale to is a somewhat casual feat as well, for what it's worth. The TP stuff probably has enough range, so long as she doesn't get caught in the epicentre of one of Ke-Pa's explosions.

Assuming Kary is 154 tons max, then Ke-Pa is over 2x stronger than her. He's also likely more skilled than her, seeing how mortal Ke-Pa skillstomped Po who is comparable to the Furious Five members in terms of skill. The Furious Five have taken on Shen's army before, with Shen possessing numerous cannons with enough firepower to one-shot people far stronger than each FF member. They've also learnt kung-fu all their lives from the 'best kung-fu master in all of china' according to Po, to the point where Crane can deal with a thousand fireworks being shot at him all at once.

Teleportation will be the biggest problem, though Ke-Pa's flight, skill, telekinesis and AP will make it hard to get any decisive hits in. The profile makes it seem like Kary doesn't want to be playing a war of attrition either, especially since she'll be starting with half her core only. Forcefields shouldn't be too much of a problem, as she appears to need to focus somewhat to maintain them and Ke-Pa should be able to break through them with AP. Ke-Pa's tk will wear Kary down throughout the battle as while she can teleport out of it, she can't dodge the telekinesis itself, which can injure her body.

It'll be a close match for sure, but Ke-Pa seems to hold every advantage except a surefire answer to teleportation. Her absorption/transmutation doesn't seem to be in-character, and Ke-Pa can likely break out of it when she's trying to absorb him (she also probably doesn't want to get in close range with him). So put me down for the dragon.

Lemme go copy paste the Kary Skill thing

I don't see this though. Her AoEs are huge and not exactly dodgable half the time, and her beam spam can get rather extreme as well. Due to SBA she can just kill random people in the area to recharge should she wish, so that's less of an issue than normal.

Transmutation she only did like twice yeah.

Also, her forcefield is passive. She doesn't have to concentrate to keep it up, she got blitzed by Xero that one time then started to run low on charge.

As for skill, she was able to fight with both Omega (Xionic Madness) and Xero (Xionic Madness) while not 8-A and was peers with them, at one point. Omega and Xero are quite good skillwise. They mowed down huge swaths of extremely elite soldiers (Omega himself used to be one of these soldiers before his augmentation) on their first run with their new armor sets. Making the whole "killing fodder doesn't mean anything" argument isn't exactly the best in this case, though. It's made clear that the more elite soldiers and robots sent after them can legitimately hurt them. Omega has the heavier armor suit and yet its said that explosive weapons still pose a threat to him (the reds made liberal usage of that) and the same rocket launcher he used to blow up a building identical to the one that he got 8-B for punching is the one weapon he has stated to just be a regular rocket launcher that anyone would be able to use. Here's an example of elite soldier weapons being able to accomplish similar feats to the cyborgs. This also includes teleporters and dudes who have shields immune to their own weapons. More impressively, they took down exact robot duplicates of themselves while already rather tired from all they had gone through. These duplicates had access to all the combat data of the pair and were perfectly capable of replicating their stuff, and yet the pair was still able to figure out a path to victory while contending with physically superior enemies on their level of combat by using their self destruct knives. While this may seem more like a "Feats for Omega and Xero" type thing, Kary used to be peers with them and fought the pair rather casually down in her 8-B state. A good chunk of this can be attributed to how they were exhausted by the time she showed up and she's a lot stronger, but that's not to say shes some sort of totally unskilled fighter. She was able to beat the CQC specialist at his own game, for one thing.

Just shooting him more times and growing stronger by massacring bystanders in NYC. Sheer volume of fire will take its toll, and he can't really dodge the sort of AoEs she throws out.

May I see how much range do these AoE attacks cover?

Also I'm not seeing anything that implies she grows stronger by killing people, just that she regains energy (unless I missed someting)

AOE:

1, 2, and 3 were all pre amp.

The more energy she has the more energy she can put into an attack. The mask siphons more to her destructive potential at the cost of draining her core much faster. If she has more reserve energy, she can afford to hit harder since she's not at risk of running out when she can just nuke the city and recharge.

These all seem good, but I'll wait on what the dragon has because some people are hiding some trump card that their characters have in VS debates, and it's possible here too

First thing: massacring bystanders? I thought it was agreed upon that there wouldn't be people around by SBA so as not to needlessly restrict characters like Superman and All Might.

Also, I disagree with Kary's forcefield being passive. She's been caught off-guard by hits before without her activating the forcefield. Thought based perhaps?

She wasn't ever caught off guard with the mask on (except when Askad as a robot knew the exact way to slip through her shield), and I don't think you can just depopulate the entire city like that. Considering her necromantic abilities it would be tantamount to restricting that, in addition to her recharging.

I don't see why her shield would become passive when putting on a mask. Like sure, it amps her power, but it doesn't seem to change how her other abilities function as such.

If there's no bystanders by SBA for one character, then there should be no bystanders for all characters. Although from what I understand, the places where Kary has fought before have had far, far less people than there would be in NY, so being in a fully populated NY would give her a gross advantage

bump

Just gonna point out that, at this point, Po was able to keep up with and overwhelm Lord Shen (who was skillful enough to take out two experienced kung-fu masters pretty easily and lead a great army) and Fenghuang (who was far more skilled than Shifu and was nearing Oogway's level of skill). And Ke-Pa badly outskilled him.

bump

Just rewatched some Legends of Awesomeness episodes, and Po has taken on and outskilled the entire Furious Five at once on more than one occasion. Ke-Pa scales >>> this. Each of the Furious Five were able to somewhat keep up with and impress Tai Lung, who has some pretty insane skill feats (Mastered one thousand scrolls of Kung Fu, defeated an army of a thousand rhinos armed specifically to stop him from escaping, easily beating Shifu who was comparable in AP to him). Po also defeated Tai Lung, but that wasn't really down to skill as much. Still, Post KFP2 Po >>>> KFP1 Po in terms of skill. And Ke-Pa is far above that.

Safe to say that Ke-Pa should take skill here.
