Ye Shunguang Vs Megumi | A Fight of two users of moves that kill themselves

if-you-laugh-you-go-to-hell-they-still-laughing.png

this MU seems like it's dependent on a lot of factors. for one, are we assuming shunguang is starting off in base and not immediately dipping into her qingming sword form?

base to base, megumi is stronger from the looks of it (6 tons vs. >0.334 tons), but shunguang's durability scales way past what he can dish out so nothing he throws at her is gonna do anything. even with shikigamis, the AP vs. durability gap from the looks of it seems way too wide for megumi to reasonably harm shunguang at all.

if shunguang goes into her white-haired form then she has the potential to just one shot megumi with any of her attacks. obviously the big deciding factor here is whether or not megumi manages to summon big raga in time, which if he does, i think raga would just steamroll shunguang, not only scaling higher but shunguang herself also not really having any way to keep him down permanently

would shunguang killing megumi before raga kills her count as a W for her? if not then i guess maybe i'd say incon? megumi himself can't really do anything to hurt shunguang but shunguang can't do anything to hurt big raga

Megum is 0.7 tons, 6 tons would be High 8-C.

Also, this heavily depends on whether Ye Shunguang starts with Qingming Sword or not because Spatial Manip is more than likely to do him in. Because in which case, it's either she one-shots him and he doesn't summon Big Raga or she one-shots him and he does summon Big Raga. In either scenarion, she wins, but Megumi takes her with him half the time.

so i guess it'd be either a shunguang win or incon then. either shunguang just kills him before he summons raga or he manages to summon raga before he dies and raga just proceeds to kill her

if she's starting off immediately with the qingming sword i think shunguang just one shots before megumi can realistically do anything. if she starts in base megumi might have more time to resort to using big raga before he dies

She doesn’t start with the sword BTW
yeah i'ma be real i think i'm gonna go with incon then lol

the two fight for a bit, megumi could do some stuff like stun her with nue but nothing he could throw at her would realistically keep her down or even really faze her because of the massive disparity between his AP and her durability. he probably realizes nothing's working and resorts to summoning raga, shunguang realizes she needs more power and uses the qingming sword, probably kills megumi in the process with a space cut or something (unless raga does that before her) but dies trying to fight raga cause of how much stronger he is + adaptation. nobody wins 💀

Big Raga FRA.

I don't know if she'll be able to see Shikigamis, but if she can't, she'll probably pull out the sword once she realizes Megumi can summon invisible and invulnerable allies (since Shikigamis are similar in nature to curses). He's not getting past that durability without Raga though.

she does have both enhanced senses and extrasensory perception which lets her see invisible objects, so i think you can make a pretty fair case about her being able to see his shikigamis. even if she couldn't directly see them, i think you could probably argue that she'd at the very least be able to sense them and be aware of the fact that they're attacking her

but yeah, it doesn't really change much anyways. if she's getting pelted by attacks she can't see, it'd likely only make her draw the qingming sword sooner which would screw megumi over more if anything lol

is there any real reason for Ye Shunguang to not bust out the Qingming blade when she starts taking random invisible hits from the shikigami? I mean she literally busts it out against fodder Ethereals in her trailer video that even Soldier 0 Anby could’ve thrashed even though it’s dangerous to wield the blade.
And once it’s out Megumi may die too fast to realize he needs Mahoraga cause she would one tap

Megumi’s ideal scenario would be if he starts with divine dog totality and it doesn’t make a dent so he immediately tries Mahoraga instead of weighing his options and trying different strategies. but then that’d be an incon rather than a win while Shunguang can actually achieve decisive wins.
Probably will wait to see if any one corrects me or further clarification before I hand Shunguang a vote though.

Ye Shunguang would bring out the Qingming Sword faster than Megumi brings out Raga I feel, and even then it's sort of a Megumi loses, or they both lose kind of deal. Ye Shunguang gets one good swipe of her sword in and one-shots Megumi.

Megumi can dodge attacks by hiding in shadows as long as he still has cursed energy. He'll bring out Maho the moment he sees the sheer scale of her attacks and how easily she can withstand his other summons.

Goodwill Megumi is pretty quick to jump to Mahoraga if he doesn't have a wincon but even then, he's a smart guy so he'd probably try to play tactically at first and die before he gets to summon Maho. This is just a matchup of if Megumi can summon Mahoraga before getting merked

By the way, is there any reason why the girl's durability is always 7-C even when she's not being amped by her sword?

I might be tweaking since it’s been a while since I read early JJK.
But doesn’t Megumi only start using the hiding in his shadows trick after Shibuya when he was looking for Hakari? I don’t remember him doing that vs Toji. And Toji was above Megumi in every single category yet Megumi instead of insta resorting to Mahoraga or even camping in a shadow forever used his battle IQ with the objective of running and surviving. Makes Shunguang look more trigger happy than he is which is what this match comes down to really.

the qingming sword explicitally gives the wielder strength of that of a VH, but it doesn't really have any implications of boosting any of her other stats. shunguang can still take hits from enemies like a sarah-possessed creator, who's more than likely a top tier threat comparable to other VH tiers

she was also unfazed being in the epicenter of an attack she made herself (admittedly the legitimacy of this scene is a bit questionable given the heavy implications that it's a dream, but it shouldn't be that far off from what the qingming sword is capable of in lore)

anyways, i'm under the impression that shunguang here would likely at least be able to sense, if not straight up see megumi's shikigamis, so i don't think she'd resort to pulling out the qingming sword as quickly if she could fight against them and noticed the fact that they weren't hurting her. ik there was the whole scene of her popping the qingming sword immediately against fodder ethereals, but that's also from the aforementioned dream character demo so the legitimacy of that scene in itself is also questionable. realistically speaking i think shunguang is cautious enough about using it to the point where she'd only realistically pull it out if she felt like she had to, which in this case would either be when megumi summons big raga or maaaybe when megumi pulls out his domain (i don't think the domain would hurt her realistically speaking again given the AP vs. durability gap but if she sees the guy making a giant pocket of space surrounding her she might be alarmed enough to whip it out)

on the contrary, i also don't think megumi's going to resort to pulling out big raga immediately without at least going through the rest of his shikigami first, and i could also at least see him trying to go for a domain before then finally resorting to using raga if he literally had no other options. from there, shunguang uses the qingming sword and i think we know how the rest goes

BTW I not counting votes until the debate is over
unless someone has any megumi args the debate kinda seems like an open and shut case to me

either shunguang wins by using the qingming sword and killing megumi before he can summon raga, or megumi manages to summon raga before he dies and proceeds to take shunguang out with him, resulting in an incon. i personally think the latter is more likely to happen imo

Yeah this might be incon tbh, at least Raga feel happy to fight an actual opponents rather than rat twink that he met kekw
