  • I have many responsibilities on this site, and this means I only wear each hat for as long as is necessary. Therefore, you may leave CRT/calc eval/whatever requests, and I will try to get to it, but understand that my time is limited and I'm normally already tapped for some wiki policy matter or maintaining the wiki management threads or handling account issues for users who never seem to get things right. Low priority requests include tiershit, particularly active verses, and discussions with a lot of active staff voices already present. I'm not saying "no" but I probably won't get to them. If I don't reply, smart money says it won't be me to get to it. Sorry.

    With the "Several Hundred times larger" statement, should I assume it means the radius? So 300x the previous radius of earth, or do I assume smth else?

    I know it seems complicated, but all it really is is me finding out the minimum distance each explosion needs to be to destroy a particular block using the formulas used in-game, and then using ISL to calculate the power at its epicenter. Also, unlike what Therefir probably thought, when calculating the Diamond end, I only used the blocks that were thoroughly pulverized to account for how brittle Diamond can be, which is perfectly fine to do as far as I know.
    The second calc is just me using ISL again, now estimating Steve's durability according to how close he can be to a Creeper explosion as stated in the Mobestiary (so the fact he can survive it isn't just game mechanics, it's actually established in lore)

    I can understand not wanting to use the Diamond ends due to how high they are and how it isn't technically complete pulverization. Still, two people, including King Tempest, a staff member, literally requested me to redo the already existing explosion calcs with Diamond. We already use Diamond pulv for the 7-C calc, so it isn't unprecedented for us to use it in cases where blocks don't drop any items.

    What I really don't get is why ISL isn't usable here, like, we already use it for so many other calcs, why is this case any different? Minecraft itself clearly obeys it as damage and blast intensity lessen the farther from the epicenter you are. Idk, I just don't see any reason why someone would be against using it for something like this, it just makes sense to me

    Truth is, for arguments to exist, we need to get into the "nitty gritty" to provide our evidence and receive feedback.
    I await your reasoning, as the discussion goes nowhere when we refuse to give out our points, whether it be due to fear of inability to back up a weak argument, or any other reason.
    I implore you to explain why your stance is as is, otherwise, as how arguments go, I must assume by burden of proof that you cannot truly back up your claims, and you have no argument.

    If you desire a starting point, start from where the link I provided leads, and try to explain your reasoning for or against those statements.

    No. Armor argued a lot! The whole purpose of the FRA thing, as we have allowed it to exist up to now, is that we don't need to rephrase arguments to vote. Armor has posted a lot of thoughts on the subject. At that point, I read through the arguments, and I agreed more with Armor's. I don't care about his history with Mario. I think he's been basically right about Mario, when he has discussed it. I don't normally step in because Mario scalers seem quick to make things personal (Armor is biased, I am afraid, etc).

    Your account has a gender section, in which it would display that stuff. I'll try to bear it in mind but I do advise you, if this is a hard-rule you have, to probably set that up. I was using "man" as a neutral term there (an exclamation, more than anything else), but still. An effort will be made.

I don't even usually care about the Supermod thing, it's a petty rank that gives slightly more responsibilities than Admin, but I note it because it was explicitly stated for DDM, as if to give greater authority. That, and DDM was still listed as an admin vote down at the bottom. Whereas neither of the admins voting against the proposal were.

    I can't read your mind, so I can't speak on intent with perfect accuracy. But it paints a poor picture, to have so many minor errors in so consistent a way.

    Hello Mr. Bambu, I hope you are doing well. On the 22nd of August, you mentioned me on the Wiki Vandalism Reports. I was originally going to reply to you on that thread, but since this was almost two months ago, I thought it would be awkward for everyone, which is why I'm replying directly.

    The reason why I'm explaining myself now is kind of funny but also awkward. I hadn't been on the forum for several months, and I had no idea this was going on until a few days ago. Anyway, about the report. I didn't see how my edit to Sentry's page could have been considered vandalism. I was clarifying which senses he had, as ''Enhanced Senses'' can be seen as a blanket term without specifications. In that Thunderbolts clip, Sentry clearly demonstrates enhanced Awareness: not only did he see Ghost while she was invisible, but he also grabbed her without looking. To me, for a character to have enhanced Awareness, they must be able to consciously (in contrast to instinctively) detect/counter threats without using sight, smell, taste, and/or touch. They are completely in tune with what's happening around them.

    Sentry definitely fits that bill as he still had accurate Awareness of where Ghost was while fighting the rest of the Thunderbolts and casually caught her.

    I looked at the editing rules before typing this, and I don't think my change violated them, as it's nowhere near as significant as changing a character's tier, statistics, and/or adding a ton of abilities. If I am wrong about that, then I am sorry, and I didn't know the rules also covered changes like that. In hindsight, this debacle is a bit amusing, as it later got accepted that Sentry has Enhanced Awareness. Nevertheless, I'm perfectly happy with letting bygones be bygones. I just wanted to explain my reasoning beforehand.
