Literally says his presence brings death. It's both imo, there is a passive effect, which Nightingale was resisting due to her shadows/Art, and then an active effect(staring) where even those shadows get instantly destroyed.
As I said though the passive effect would only be something he can do within the Cracking Field.
Also, the Nightingale scans were specifically talking about the Crimson Eyes' power and gaze, how is that any different from the "active staring"?
And is that Cracking Field a place, like a separate universe? Because if it's, they wouldn't start inside of it anyway.

Their souls are aethyr, so they're borderline uninteractible unless you're ridiculous, considering the presence of every kind of NEP2 and like half a dozen kinds of AE1, add Acausality 5 to that and generally the only people who can do anything to Warhammer Souls is Warhammer peeps
