This chapter cover was actually pretty amazing. The Neo-Heroes look fantastic. Everyone except for
Elon Musk
Zaedats on his segway looks on point.

Even Infelsinave looks like he might do something.

Funny how the strongest Neo-Leader (Webigaza I guess?) is weaker than Atomic Samurai. But the presentation will make manga onlies think otherwise. Big fan of A with his 'grim reaper' style and Infelsinave looking like he actually has powers. TBH I hope Infelsinave shows some crazy hax off right before
he gets killed, only for it to be practically useless in combatt

Murata really sucks at drawing characters' heights. Like tf is going on here why is Darkshine 10 feet tall.
 
Chapter was short but good, ngl I'm starting to think we're getting very close to 1:1 adaptation from the WC and that's a very good thing, and of course, heals our soul from the abolute fiasco that the 3rd season is

My soul was healed from what Wazygaza shot from the chapter cover. As the series goes on... Murata gets braver and braver with the fanservice.

I guess that's your way of saying you don't like the half-chapters Murata's been putting out? I think the manga has been doing great recently, even if it's pretty much just adapting the webcomic with a few manga-only additions.

I was about to say it's no big deal in this context. Darkshine is essentially 240 cm (8 ft) already, yeah he's probably taller here than he should be... but Darkshine is almost always shown larger than his canon height.

The best reference point for Darkshine appearing larger than his stated height is PPP. He should be kinda close to PPP in height but when they stand next to each other it's been 6'0" vs. 5'11" (as described in memes) every single time outside of the Boros arc iirc.

Also Darkshine does look '10 feet tall' (3.3 meters) in many of his most famous appearances. Like this scene, if you stood both characters up Darkshine appears 2x Garou's height (his calf is longer than Garou's torso for example) when he should be 1.5x.

A full 1:1 now would be a massive mistake considering it would result in things like Wavygaza having her character development happen in an offscreen talk with Child Emperor lol
 
I just wanna say that as a huge Darkshine fan, I'm kinda disappointed that after Darkshine ANNIHILATED an enhanced version of Raiden in the webcomic...

..there just hasn't been much conversation about that. Like, there's a video with 3 million views claiming that Raiden is stronger than Darkshine, as well as several debates across the years arguing back and forth on who is stronger, meanwhile... in the WC, Raiden in his undies > PPP, then he gets an amp from the suit, then he gets a further boost while being mind-controlled.

Meaning...

Mind Controlled Raiden >> suited Raiden > regular Raiden > PPP >= dragon level machine God Slice (not sure if PPP got stronger before they fought)

Before we get into Darkshine's performance, I need to point out that in chap 153, random mind controlled neos were going to straight up kill Webigaza before Amai stepped in. Monster Amai himself says "[the suits are pretty strong but I've figured out how to expose it...". This confirms that in a pure stats match, random neos are too much for Monster Amai to brute force which is insane considering what he did to Pesky clown's upgraded form.

Then we have the sumos, who are stronger than the guys who almost killed Webi and held Monster Amai down until he figured out their 'pressure point'. Then we have Raiden, who is stronger than the Sumos. Darkshine didn't even punch him. Didn't sweat. Didn't flex his muscles to use full power. Grabbed him at 30%? 50%? and spun him around like loose laundry, still somehow doing more damage than Monster Amai's pinpoint strikes.

Darkshine doing this in the manga is either going to make his stocks explode or downgrade pretty much all of the neo-heroes by implication.

At some point in the story we are bound to have new keys for some characters, Neo Arc Post Epiphany Darkshine can very easily be a new key with much less implications on him low diffing Raiden

Eh, I wouldn't really say so. Darkshine is 235 cm tall, while Metal Bat is 168 cm tall. That's a huge difference, but not THAT huge. In the image I posted, their height difference is big enough for Metal Bat to give a standing blοwjob. This is what the height difference would look like in real life:

Darkshine wants to show off his muscles subconsciously behind his growing insecurity so he accidentally tore the shirt off by flexing. Then he found a new one. He took his gloves off to not get the new shirt dirty.

Murata realized how many errors there are in the S3 anime so he decided to add errors in the manga too for the sake of consistency.
 
I actually hadn't read monster association arc, only joining the manga around Garou vs Flashy vs Platinum.

I decided to wait for season 3. After seeing man made horror that is season 3 I read the monster association arc (upto them getting on the surface)

Holy fan gooner bait. This goes into ecchi territory. The amount of ass shots, some of the female monster designs like those lizard girls (one of them is topless), Psykos is literally in High school dxd.

BY far the most revealing are Psykos and Do-S. You can see that slight hue shift on her boongas.

At this point just get the R rating and go all out

I agree with this new key fully. I recalled Darkshine saying "am I shining more brightly than ever?" (he did not say this as far as I can see on the re-read). Still, as anyone who's lifted can tell you- you tend to see the most explosive gains after a rest period.

My concern is moreso that the neo-leaders, half of whom are fakers anyways (Zaedats, Infelsinave, screw you Accel) are liable to be underestimated and if you cross that with the fact that Darkshine has been under a huge cloud of negativity ever since his manga version got knocked out of the arc by Golden, many in the broader fandom (I don't mean here) will assume "oh, Darkshine was a mid-dragon at best and should still be... if he beat Raiden like this, maybe that means Raiden is so weak that even with the suit he's still not dragon level".

We'll see how the conversation goes when the manga gets to that point in around two years. Speaking of, crazy how the manga is only 26 chapters behind the webcomic.

Because as you say, Darkshine "low-diffed" Raiden. I would describe it as a "no-diff" at most since Darkshine didn't even have to slap him. Darkshine stood there and calmly monologued while Raiden unleashed his strongest attacks, before he plucked Raiden out of what might have been his final move (Heavy spinning smash), held him like a baby, and spun him around until his armor came off. Also, Darkshine doesn't pop a single vein while doing this, so he can't have been going more than 50%.

Likely, we'll see more out of him since he is still near Neo-tower, where Metal Bat is fighting Erimin and Destro and Ryumon is fighting "A'. Monster Amai is also heading there so... I wonder, it makes me feel like a big boss fight is brewing, but Drive Knight is KO or dead and Genos is going towards Saitama probably.

Monster Amai, Webigaza, post Epiphany Darkshine and pumped up Metal Bat vs. Erimin, Destro and "A' seems like extreme overkill to me unless Erimin and Destro are both Golden S tier.

Well, that is how they animate most of them. I remember wigging out the first time I saw a coca cola AI ad a year ago during some holiday TV program, whatever happens with Season 3 at least a human is getting paid to produce the art whatever the quality

Yeap, the whole description about him shining more than ever and the "his body just needed a rest" quote is One's way to imply Darkshine is stronger than ever before, so if we keep the same text for the manga, a new key shouldn't be too hard to pass

As much as I'm loving the whole Metal Knight VS Kuseno reveals, I'm also super interested to see what kind of battle (hopefully, a battle) will happen between the heroes gathering at the tower VS Erimin, Destro, A + maybe someone else will arrive there, although it wouldn't really surprise me if Erimin and Destro are indeed that powerful as the WC had a serious power creep
