Even if the next 8 episodes are 8/10 in quality (highly unlikely), it's still too late. Th damage has been done. Many have lost interest to the point that they dropped the show. I even saw reactors dropping the show like you know shit is bad when the people who get paid to react to anime episodes don't even wanna watch the episodes.

Just being a big IP doesn't mean much anyway. Berserk got even worse treatment than OPM.. same is true for many, many other series like Seven Deadly Sins and Tokyo Ghoul.

The best case scenario is that some other studio/company gets ahold of the IP.

Though even then, it would just be a bandaid because the JC Staff portion is so bad. I guess the absolute dream scenario would be that a studio picks up after S1 and redoes the whole thing from there, but the chance of that happening are abysmal. Especially in the next 10 years lol.

I think it might just be dead. Even if we do get more anime, it'll probably be 5+ years down the line....

I noticed that the episodes we've watched so far are equivalent to about two manga chapters, I think this might mean that the battle scenes were kept very short, or even some were cut, I'm starting to get even more nervous.
(edit: By the way, when we calculate, the anime has only progressed 5.5 manga chapters and we have already seen a few scenes cut so far, I think the post-production issue is messed up in the studio.)

Producer's and corporate moneybags don't care whatsoever if people like it. If it makes more than what it costed to produce it, they'll keep doing the same thing. It's the same wherever you go and is a large part of why gigantic IP's in Hollywood have just failed miserably in the new generation of film media. The concept of art, creativity, and ingenuity is irrelevant to them in the face of profits. It's all about money.
