Let me just burst that bubble. If the first episode doesn't show that quality, forget it. The first one is the one with most polish and time.

Even with shows that do get trouble most of the time still have decent first episode. Hell Sakamoto was looking real good up until the Boiled fight and then it started to show it's problems.

It's not diesel to save for later. The first episode is the viewer hook.
That's not true, sorry man.

OPM isn't trying to get people hooked atp. It's the third season. People watching it are already OPM fans and they wouldn't have higher expectations than season 2 quality at the least. The animation in the first episode isn't going to be better than the animation in a big fight like Darkshine Vs. Garou and such because the first episode is set-up for the story elements. JC Staff is aware of their limits and isn't going to try to make every part of the show look good. They're going to focus on the elements people WANT to see well animated. The action. Nobody cares if Saitama's idle talking animations aren't top-tier quality. We want to see "big boom woosh explosion" look good.

Mf's when Saitama from some random incel's harem fanfic invades the show and changes the continuity of the anime from the manga completely by acting out-of-character:

Tbh I really hope they do this fight justice. It's an underrated G.O.A.T and deserves proper respect. Imo on par with Garou Vs. Darkshine even if I prefer the latter.
It's my favorite fight, it might lose that spot now with Amai Mask Vs Pesky Clown being a thing, but still

Speaking of him, pains me to see him so far behind most of the S Class again, I never forgave One for ruining his MA arc moment for literally nothing, to this day it's a decision I don't understand

What are you talking about? Flash was portrayed very impressively in the manga MA arc.

Why the HELL is JC Staff showing the pre-redraw version of Saitama vs Orochi in the opening??
Do they not even know what they're supposed to be animating? This is so beyond cooked

That is the funniest thing to come out of this.

Also gotta like that moment where they show us a montage of season 1's better animation in Saitama's cape just to rub salt in the wound.

The art is such a step up is insane, the filters as well. Music good as always. But as everyone already stated, pretty stiff overall, but no bad shots other then the Garou Hallway one. Oh well, we will se if Ep 2 will bring our hopes up or down. Gonna be watching it either way.

maybe they are thinking of combining elements from the pre redraw and re draw version for the anime or no

What's with the glazing of a very plot convenience scene?

Btw surprised people aren't talking about the OP more. It's...very weird ngl.

I don't dislike it, I like that it's trying to combine elements of the first 2 OP's and some of the visuals are genuinely very good (especially Orochi), but the overall vibe of it is so odd for OPM. Like so much so it borders on uncanny to me. Namely the scene where Saitama has his fist up and everyone else raises their fists behind him, that's so strange to me.

I've also noticed that JC Staff apparently isn't shy about fanservice where they can put it in. There are a lot of uh, interesting shots with Tatsumaki, Fubuki, and for some reason Mitsuki by herself for a few seconds without showing the rest of the fodder-squad on the surface as if she isn't a minor background character, goes to show how much a character's appearance can effect their popularity regardless of their role in the story lol.

Bang too...

Dialogue pacing is also off. In the whole scene of the captured Narinki squad, there's almost no pause between lines in the dialogue, it moves quickly, probably to conserve time and avoid ostentatiously stiff shots.
