The sword can cut concepts but is the sword itself a concept? And does it counts a defence? (in my opinion it would)

Because if Reid’s sword itself is not conceptual then that thing is getting thrown out the window.
Reid’s swordsmanship, which is entirely independent of the actual weapon he is holding, manifests the very notion of the sword. I mean, he uses chopsticks almost all of the time. 99% of his feats come from him just screwing around with weaker opponents while using them.

Damn so he's gonna try to scrap with Ken using his hands I guess?

Kenshiro starts by trying to close the distance to use pressure points because there's no other good option and I refuse to believe Kenshiro won't immediately know what the best option is.

Do you mean kenshiro wouldnt immedietely know what the best move is or kenshiro would absolutely know what the best move is?

Pretty sure Reid can pull off the same feats with his bare hands as well

Pressure points like Kenshiro can? The same pressure points that can straight up make people explode, stop their body from working, etc?

My god i am getting confused now

If he sees them or smth then yeah 100%, but i was talking about his slashes
Please tell me is the "Know the best option", and not the pressure point one, you talking about.
I am so confused

The nauseating amount of pages...
Anyways, 20m doesnt change anything Reid still only needs to swing once and that will absolutely happen faster than Ken can cover the distance for his pp
voting Reid again

Both are at the speed where 20 meters can easily be covered so I doubt that heavily.

Votes counted though.

The swing, that Ken can totally dodge.
well a normal human could probably swing upto 20 times by the time they would finish 20m however afaik Reid's sword swings are AoE
and its not like Reid couldn't move while swinging his sword either
If what i read is correct then he would also be able to fly using the dust particles in the air like Cecilus

you have misunderstood the basic premise of speed equal
All of their speed has been equalized so the movements they need to do matter a lot and swinging once is faster than running 20m
So Reid doesn’t have any FTL stuff either. Covering a 20 meter distance at MHS+ is borderline instant idk how this doesn’t make sense.

It’s either Ken hits Reid with a pressure point attack and he either explodes, gets paralyzed and cannot move, or plenty of other shit Hokuto Shinken can do. Or Reid can swing at Kenshiro one time which MT cannot save him from being hit.

Not to mention Ken has fate hax too. Which even if it doesn’t give Ken a definitive W (it doesn’t), it makes things all the more difficult for Reid.

Ken can increase his speed to close the gap more easy;

Not really, like 20 meters is not really that far to close a gap.
however afaik Reid's sword swings are AoE
Not like he start with AoE slash anyway.

the problem is kenshiro can anal predict, amp, precog, dodge, teleport and fate hax that

if Kenshiro gets close enough, Reid will
  • Explode from getting one shotted
  • deconstructed
  • paralyzed
  • pressure point ******

change my vote back to kenshiro 🗿

speed is equalized, unless you think a person can run 20m faster than they can swing a sword your logic doesn't work

undefined fate hax doesnt do much

none of that helps him against 9000km of AoE
if Kenshiro gets close enough, Reid will
thats a pretty big If considering he would need to close the gap faster than Reid could swing his sword
He can also teleport
As zabzab mentioned even low to mid tier characters could easily deal with teleportation, it would not be a proper wincon

Reid don't use AoE attack as first move.

That's irrelevant to the point, the point is Ken can cross the distance with teleportation to get close, and hax Reid.

The logic absolutely does work because 20 meters is absolutely nothing compared to the 4km the match initially started as. Which was why Reid could easily cut Kenshiro from a distance unlike now, which now it is not so easy.

Even at MHS+, 20 meters can be covered in an instant, as fast as the sword. I don’t know why there is even an argument to be had if the sword could slash faster.
