Bane vs Venom was anything but fair. I don't think anyone who truly knows Venom thinks Bane stands remotely a chance against Venom. It's a mismatch, probably the stompiest one since Bane has no advantages.

nah, think of Symbiote debates like Wolverine debates or Gojo debates. They become a debate on whether the opponent can take advantage of their opponent's weaknesses or not.

The problem is that there's no debate. Heavy Sound, Fire, or Electricity Manip beats Venom almost every time, except in cases when Venom is stated to be resistant/immune. Now, if there were a character with only short bursts of sound and heat, or ones that can be avoided, that would be a different story. Homelander vs Venom is the ideal matchup imo. Venom winning is pure catharsis, and the fight is good.
