Now that Boros starts in his Released state, this match is a bit more even.
Whitebeard in this state was
unable to use Kenbun, and we've seen how this effects Whitebeard in combat, allowing him to be hit by fatal attacks against characters relative in speed
several times, even being
easily outsped by someone who shouldn't be far faster than himself. Marineford Key Whitebeard has only shown the
ability to use Buso, so there's no reason for us to assume that at this point he would be capable of using Buso Emission, Hao, or Advanced Hao.
Marineford Whitebeard's heat resistance only
scales above Sakazuki's ambient heat, which scales to being
capable of vaporizing steel. Boros' Energy Bullets are hot enough to be able to
vaporize parts of his ship, which is made of material superior to the material used to build the original Hero Association Building, which is made of material that is capable of withstanding far more stress than the likes of steel. This means that if Boros were to land an energy bullet of a Whitebeard who isn't defending with Haki, he would suffer pretty serious burns.
Whitebeard does have superior AP, but due his regeneration that Whitebeard can not negate, it would take far more hits for him to take out Boros than the other way around. However, once Boros sees that Whitebeard is far stronger than he is physically, I have no doubt that he'd eventually use Meteoric Burst.
Once Boros uses Meteoric Burst, he gains a great AP boost with his normal attacks being on the level if not superior to his Released state's Energy Bullets, which are so far above his normal attacks that he felt as though he could
one-shot someone who
he believed to be relative to himself.
As for his speed in Meteoric Burst, it becomes so much faster that he could
surprise Saitama who was
completely and utterly bored and disappointed by his previous showings, making him take the fight
more seriously than before.
The speed and AP amps granted from Meteoric Burst is a result of his energy that he's
using as a booster, meaning the more energy he uses at once, the stronger and faster he would become. The issue with this, however, is that it
drains a lot of stamina from him, making him struggle to stabilize his breath after only 2 attacks.
Whitebeard isn't out of luck though. Whitebeard's 33.6 Exaton rating is only with his devil fruit. His physicals are able to
clash with and straight up
stop the force Akainu's devil fruit, which is
more powerful than his own. Whitebeard is able to
combine both his fruit and his physicals to boost the force of his attacks by A LOT.
Whitebeard also has Buso, allowing him to be capable of tanking pretty much all of Boros' attacks if need by, however in this key he doesn't do that often. His heat resistance with Buso scales
far above 27kºC meaning that absolutely nothing Boros does would be able to burn him when he's coated in it.
Whitebeard also has far superior LS (Class E vs Class G), which means that if he's able to grab Boros
like he did to Blackbeard, he could deal severe damage.
Overall, I believe that because of Whitebeard's far superiority in stats, Boros would be incentivized to use Meteoric Burst after a few exchanges in his Released Form. While in Meteoric Burst, Boros would be able to
blitz and deal severe burn damage to Whitebeard as well as
land several attacks to him before he can even move. However, we know for a fact that Whitebeard can
survive and fight with half of his face burned off. On top of that, it took a
grand total of 465 hits to finally kill him. Boros gets gassed after 2. In Meteoric Burst, spending time regenerating from every hit would require way too much stamina which is why he
didn't immediately regenerate after taking a non-fatal attack and went straight for using the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon after being
forced to regenerate from Saitama's attacks realizing that he'd lose out in a battle of attrition, so that wincon becomes moot, meaning that all of Whitebeard's attacks (which have far too much AoE for Boros to just dodge) would start to add up. On the topic of the Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon, Boros would definitely be forced to use it. The issue is that this simply is not a wincon, as Whitebeard can simply just counter with one of his stronger attacks like
Kaishin or
Shima Yurashi.
However, Whitebeard does have
periodic heart attacks, so whether or not this effects the outcome of this fight is up for others to decide.
