While i don't like Goku taking another L. This fight made for the fact that it was not only awesome but it captured what makes both characters who they are and how they grow to respect each other for it in the end. That is awesome.

Makes me wish they did Ben 10 vs Green Lantern in this season if they were gonna be this well-written.
Personally prefer if we get Goku vs any other character beside Superman tbh.

Okay but to be fair Goku is still a terrible dad, not evil or a bad person, but he shouldn’t be raising kids

I think Goku is just a a dad.

Not good or bad. Considering that he misunderstood what Gohan actually felt and wanted at the Cell Games but that's what fathers are. They sometimes don't understand.

Besides, even after everything that happened. Gohan and Goku still love each other like family. So it counts for something.

This is something I genuinely respect Death Battle for this time around. GvS1 and 2 acted like episodes had absolutely every advantage in the fight which made it seem like Goku was doing nothing but hitting a brick wall that he couldn't destroy until he died, but in this episode they actually acknowledged that Goku had his own advantages like better martial arts, variety of techniques, and mobility via Instant Transmission.

Now did those advantages matter and does Superman have counters to those points? No and yes to both rhetorical questions, but I can appreciate that DB didn't want to make Superman look completely impervious and acknowledged that Goku's got his own tricks in a fight with Clark.

Like Gohan would outright detest the man instead looking at him with admiration and respect and love if Goku was a Dogshit father

Ya have glaze piccolo who beat the shit outta Gohan when he was 4 years old and did the same things folks give Goku shit for in the superhero movie 💀

**** outta here with that nonsense
Only Goku can give his life for his son as soon as DBZ starts and still get bad dad comments.

I barely watched anything related to DB these days, but Goku being a bad dad is something I am like “He still is a dad who support his son anyway despite the shit Gohan gone through”.

Edit: Goku is still a decent dad is what I mean.

Goku might be the only Dad in fiction who gave his life twice to save his son and gets called a bad Dad. Selflessness to protect your son is the hallmark to being a good Dad.

Any, and I mean ANY other Dad does that in fiction? Dad of the century. The glazing would be next level.

DBZA brainrot will take generations to overcome.

This but Buck Cluck

and yes, 2006 Chicken Little is a nostalgic guilty pleasure of mine

Meanwhile no one bat an eye on what Piccolo do to Gohan while he was a younger kid.
Yeppers. Worst of it is that Piccolo kidnapping the orphaned child and telling him to survive the wilderness for six months gets slept on.
But he gave his life to protect Gohan afterwards!.....you mean that thing that Goku had already done?
