The Revenant Marvel Comics Discussion Thread

You guys gotta be more patient.

1. The man just finished a GIGANTIC cosmology page.
2. Not only does he have to figure out scaling for the Gods and Mystic Beings, he has to find scans for the cosmology AND he is likely also looking for P&A for them so that he can revise their page, just like how he improved the P&A of the abstract beings.
Agreed. 🙏

Ultima: Spending untold hours revising the entire cosmology

Hickman and his charts coming in to **** everything up like 3 days later:

You know it's gonna happen.

Question: If a character Varies, for example, from 9-C to 8-A, he could be used in a vsthread against someone 8-B or 8-C? This is for a comic match.

Anyone notice that G.O.D.S. finally came out? I thought the first issue was pretty neat, if a bit confusing. Admittedly I'm not sure what the plot is supposed to be anymore.
It's average. Wyn is just a constantine copy.

Main things that were interesting in it were:
  • The look into duality of gods with each godly force having their opposites.
  • Him and his wife being avatars for opposing gods
  • Wyn being stated to be thousands of years old
  • A video game referance about lady D from resident evil village
  • The main villain of the issue using the staff of the living tribunal
  • The staff was said to have the power to rewrite the continuum
  • It required the power of a dead universe to power it
  • His monologue about reality being in a box
  • The alliance of science and magic teams working together to stop the villain from summoning eldritch beings
  • Wyn trading items over and over again until he gets a mystic tome
  • The tome erasing knowledge from whoever reads it.

Disappointed really in the run

Wouldn't this downgrade some Abstracts of their Transduality?
  • It required the power of a dead universe to power it
This is consistent with how universes work so that's great i guess?

After looking at the profiles of Mr. Fantastic and Doctor Doom...I think both need to be downgraded to Extraordinary Genius.

Here's the requirement for Supergenius:

Take note that for a Supergenius rating to be given based on technological prowess, the character in question should be able to essentially warp reality as they wish on an at least universal (3-A) scale with their inventions, or even use them to overpower tier 1 entities for higher cases. Simply defying the laws of physics with futuristic technology is very common for Extraordinary Geniuses as well.

Doom and Richards both have nothing on this level in terms of invention to the best of my knowledge, with the one possible exception of Doom's Prime Mover, which affect the plot of Reality itself.

If that's not enough, axe their Supergenius status.

Also, for Doom's page, I'd like to propose that the P&A for his (shudder) Skin Armor (yes, that skin armor) gets removed, along with the images of his skin armor and of him with the power of the 1984 Beyonder.

1. It removes needless clutter on the page.

2. The Skin Armor's P&A isn't that large or useful, and it was an amp that only appeared for 3 chapters and Doom lost all those powers at the end of the arc.

3. Doom absorbing the 1984 Beyonder is no not its own key anymore, nor is it more impressive than his other High 1-B prep feats (also the pic looks kinda ugly IMO).

So the only 2 images should be of normal Doom and God Emperor Doom.

Those aren't necessarily the requisites to qualify for supergenius. It all comes down to versatility and sheer scale
That is correct, yes. They have demonstrated such an extreme degree of versatility and scale that I think they qualify.

We likely have to downgrade the High Evolutionary to "At least Extraordinary Genius" though. He used to be considered as even smarter than Reed Richards, but just doesn't have feats of that scale on his own.

The Maker used his equipment to merge all universes in the Marvel multiverse into a single unit though.

This seems fine to me in any case.

He’s also been having trouble logging in on this site.

Since Doom's page is unlocked, and this is a minor change, would you be ok with me removing the skin armor P&A and the 2 images (skin armor Doom and with the powers of the 1984 Beyonder)?
Yes, that is perfectly fine.
He’s also been having trouble logging in on this site.
I thought that we managed to solve that problem.

@Ultima_Reality Given the ongoing Transduality -> Nonduality change, I'd like to ask you about the 11 Marvel characters with some form of nonduality, as it doesn't look consistent:
  1. Eternity (Multiversal Key): "Transduality (Type 3; Transcends the In-Betweener, an inner function of himself that personifies the barrier and division between dichotomies,[22][23] being "a concept of concepts"[24] and "walking the path between all worlds, all concepts,"[25] simultaneously the union of all polarities and something that stands exempt from them)"
  2. Galactus (World-Eater Key): "Transduality (Type 2; Described as being devoid of dualities, being "the absence of opposites" that contrasts The In-Betweener's union of opposites,[23] uncreated and untouched by the interplay between Death and Eternity,[24] and immune to the In-Betweener's power over dichotomies as a result[25])"
  3. Lord Chaos and Master Order (Logos Key): "Transduality (Type 2)" (No justification)
  4. Oblivion (True Oblivion Key): "Transduality (Type 3; As he is beyond the omniverse, he also transcends the In-Betweener, an inner function of Eternity that personifies the barrier and division between dichotomies,[14][15] being "a concept of concepts"[16] and "walking the path between all worlds, all concepts,"[17] simultaneously the union of all polarities and something that stands exempt from them)"
  5. Phoenix Force (True Phoenix Force Key): "Transduality (Type 3; As she is beyond the omniverse, he also transcends the In-Betweener, an inner function of Eternity that personifies the barrier and division between dichotomies,[21][22] being "a concept of concepts"[23] and "walking the path between all worlds, all concepts,"[24] simultaneously the union of all polarities and something that stands exempt from them)"
  6. The Beyonders: "Transduality (Type 3; As they are beyond the omniverse, he also transcends the In-Betweener, an inner function of Eternity that personifies the barrier and division between dichotomies,[12][13] being "a concept of concepts"[14] and "walking the path between all worlds, all concepts,"[15] simultaneously the union of all polarities and something that stands exempt from them)"
  7. The First Firmament: ""
  8. The In-Betweener (Universal Key): "Transduality (Type 2)" (No justification)
  9. The Living Tribunal (M-Bodies Key): "Transduality (Type 2; Stated to transcend "all opposing realities"[6][7])"
  10. The Never Queen: "Transduality (Type 2; As she is beyond the omniverse, she also transcends the In-Betweener, an inner function of Eternity that personifies the barrier and division between dichotomies, being "a concept of concepts" and "walking the path between all worlds, all concepts")"
  11. The One Above All: "Transduality (Type 3; As The One Above All, it is the pure unity of the divine, where all contending forces exist as one undivided wholeness, even with respect to the lesser planes of the Mystery[15])"

or even use them to overpower tier 1 entities for higher cases
I think that's the biggest problem, because simply having tier 1 tech bumps a lot of characters to Supergenius. Tony has up to Low 1-A weaponry, Doom has up to High 1-B prep time, Reed has High 1-B prep time as well, Hank's pym particles can reach Low 1-A

I've noticed that weapons that have tier 1 AP don't necessarily qualify for supergenius

Also, Tony apparently lacks the versatility of, say, Reed and Doom, to be rated as one

I was thinking that too, hence why I proposed an intelligence downgrade.

Doom's only Supergenius stuff AFAIK is:

  1. Making the Prime Mover
  2. Knows how to create a Cosmic Cube, which is 4-D in nature.

Thank you! It is done!
No problem, and I have locked the page now. 🙏
I believe we did
That is good then.

Yes, but it has to be combined with ridiculous versatility.

So does Doom not have the sheer versatility of Reed Richards? Is he more of a character with high-level feats but a rather limited repertoire outside of his magic, similarly to Tony Stark?

Have you tried to inform Al Ewing about the existence of the following page that you created?
