Cyberpunk Discussion Thread

I didn't miss it that's not even a thing in the game ATM its coming in the new update in September
IIRC, you also noted enemies can dodge no matter the distance. Does that hold true if you the player are literally standing in their face with the barrel of your gun to their temple? If so, you could def use shorter distances for the speed calcs.

No unfortunately that's not the case the bullets in this game aren't hitscan they actually travel so you can't do that

I'm confused. Why is it that you can't do it? Are just not able to get that close to the enemy or can enemies not dodge from that close. I don't see why hitscan would be an issue.

Enemies can’t dodge or block at a certain range.
Yeah if it was based on hitscans then distance wouldn't matter at all and the dodging would likely be RNG based at which point you could make something happen from point blank but its not like that so yeah its exactly as Kilgore says

Guess katana blocking is the best choice then. From the sounds of it, it'd push them to Hypersonic or High Hypersonic.

Yeah but again waiting until phantom liberty where its actually added to the game in full as it will supposedly be

So onto those environmental destruction feats I mentioned I did one and I was able to completely frag a light pole with a punch, I'll try more

Tfw the V profile needs to be completely redone.

As a note it looks like bullet blocking is entirely just a basic reflex perk. So it would be for any V. I wonder if you can deflect tech weapons with it or just bullets.

@Dalesean027

The novel gives a speed feat for SMART rifle bullets
Within thirty seconds he was back in position—reunited with his weapon. Whole. In addition to the semi-guided round in the chamber, he had three others waiting in the clip, inactive, just in case—even though he wouldn’t need them. Zor’s partial view of the tower meant a twenty-second visual on the descending elevator. The bullet’s flight time was just shy of four seconds. If it missed, loading the next bullet, pairing it, calibrating the scope and taking a another four-second shot would add up to a total of twenty-three seconds. It was either the first bullet or nothing. 1.2 miles—a distance that was dangerously close to the rifle’s maximum effective range. The slightest disturbance in the bullet’s trajectory and it would miss its target wide. He could really use that second shot.
The distance combined with light reflected from the glass and waves outside the visible spectrum muddied his perception. He realized he couldn’t count on a direct hit. He replaced the precision round in the chamber with its explosive counterpart. In a fraction of a second, it would turn everything inside the elevator into goop. There wouldn’t be any bodies to recover

1.2 miles in 4 seconds

using 3.9s we get 495.182051m/s and using 4s we get 482.8025m/s

Imo 'just shy of' should constitute any number above 3.5 at least, so my personal ends would be 3.5 to 3.75 to 3.9 for low/middle/high ends just to cover our bases

Alright, played through 2.0 for a bit. Some notes:
  • The P&A stuff will need to be redone, but not as much as I thought originally
  • Smasher seems to not be slowed down when using the Sandevistan, so I guess that means he was one of the enemies who got it. RIP Sandy though, reduced from 10x to 5x. Though the novel mention reflex boosters being 20x so honestly we may just need to ditch the game scaling entirely
  • Berserk got a big buff which is cool
  • More Edgerunner references, including Smasher keeping Rebecca's shotgun
  • I haven't found a tech weapon enemy yet, but you can deflect any other bullet even at literal point blank range

Also with Gorilla Arms/A strength build a finisher involves you throwing people with enough force that their impact causing them to explode.

Yup I've been having plenty fun with my build, strength, reflex, and technical make for a fun combo and the ground slam is pretty good as

Wait, its just that the Warp Dancer got changed to only be 20%. There's still a 85% Sandevistan.

But why CPR?

Alright so I just murdered a bunch of people and a cop showed up with on. You actually can deflect tech weapons with the perk.

Which is pretty major.
😱😱😱😱brah that's like a hypersonic feat itself if done from close enough, heck you can get casual supersonic+ with this on the regular guns
