I think only the boruto novels are banned because it's inconsistent with the anime and manga. For example momoshiki did things in the novels that he never did in the manga. Like absorb chakra from the planet and use absolute zero ect

Wouldn't it be easier to say that they are just for something deeper for the character or more specification or something like that,I mean, it's like in Gurren Lagann, more depth was given to certain events (such as a gigantic monster appearing in the galactic spiral in the manga) and in the novel a giant dragon appears and fights against Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann, and both are canon things Because they are still things that in themselves serve to delve deeper into certain things, of course if it were a novel that was made by I don't know Kishimoto's assistant, there is if that would be accepted, but they were not written by the author himself

I mean tbf it does state their is a specific route you need to follow to find it and on Naruto earth there is a way to get directly to the moon through a space-time portal so it is possible that the specific route involves going through a space-time portal

For one thing, Hagoromo has Rinnegan, and second he doesn't have Six Paths Sage Mode as he is that way naturally, and doesn't undergo a transformation to do the things he does.
So we can't say Naruto's Six Paths Sage Mode is one to one to Hagoromo, and the things he can do.
This is the only things mentioned in the SPSM Databook entry regarding abilities:
We don't give Naruto "Control over all things" as that is vague and lacks context, so instead we give him stuff based on shown feats, detailed descriptions and explanations, detailed statements and things that he would gain via ability scaling
