While it may seem very one sided, Kakashi does have the versatility on his side, as well as clones, substitution, very analytical fighting style, and Sharingan on his side.

Laxus has the AP, Range, and far larger AOE

Kakashi also has Kamui if this is part 2 which will one shot Laxus if it lands although he can only use it a few times pre war arc

Laxus actually scales to 30.91 megatons

Both can beat each other with their last resorts such as kamui and Fairy Law.

Kakashi has a skill and versatility advantage, while Laxus has the mobility, 3x AP, intangibility, Paralysis inducement, and Kakashi's lighting jutsu will only feed Laxus's stamina.

Leaning Laxus rn.

How skilled is Laxus? Because I feel like this could be a massive disadvantage for if he isn't that skilled.
Laxus is fairly skilled in his own right, he can casually trade hands with Natsu and Gajeel at the same time who are both skilled brawlers that can take on trained assassins that killed every single commissioned officer during the Cabrian War. He also fought and matched Mystogan, who took down all of Phantom Lords subdivisions with ease, Phantom Lord Mages were said to be incredibly skilled at the time. He's also comparable to Erza who can fight people like Ikaruga who's sword slashes are so accurate and precise that she can cut several high speed playing cards in half (the thin side) in a single slash of her sword.

Would Kakashi's lightning really get consumed by Laxus? Iirc Chakra based aren't identical to the naturally occurring elements although I'm unsure of how Magic and Chakara would work together.

Dragon Slayers can consume their element whether it's magical or natural, obviously Chakra doesn't exist to be tested.
The point being that the source of the lightning doesn't seem to matter, only that it's lightning.

Edit: Oh yeah they can also consume it if it comes from Curses (a separate energy system than magic). Only exception is their own magic.

Oh yeah I was gonna ask,

Should I equalize Chakra and Magic? Can it even be equalized?

Dragon slayers can eat almost any kind of their element, even ones outside their own power system such as fire that comes from Curse Power, and naturally occurring of said element such as Friction Based Fire that Sagittarius caused with his arrows. Gajeel is the most common example of the this as he can eat pieces of nonmagical floor and even metal cups without issue and it restores his stamina. Hell he can even take in the pure carbon molecules in Torafuzar's water and mix them with his iron.

Doesn't do anything to answer my question and I already know this. This is a question of verse equalization, not mechanics of Slayers.

Read above.
It does a lot to answer your question... because it's proof they can consume their element even if the source is not magical, or even from a supernatural source that's not magic...

Once again, doesn't answer me question. Your getting the question at hand with mechanics.

The question is if Slayers can eat something that doesn't even behave as their respective elements.

Here's a good example, let's say lightning that lacks electrons or another unique aspect such as flames that isn't composed of actual fire.

So what would happen if Gajeel sucked someone's blood?

Are you saying his lightning looks like lightning, but isn't actually electricity in any capacity?

If so, I'd question why it's listed as lightning manipulation to begin with.

That's probably a better question for a Naruto supporter.
Okay. Well, assuming the profile is correct, then to some extent it's considered lightning.

Laxus can eat real lighting, magic lightning, and lightning made from more obscure supernatural energies too.
I don't see the argument why Chakra should be an exception. It doesn't matter if it's not natural, it only seems to matter if it's "lightning".

So I don't think it matters if chakra equalizes to magic or not. They have feats of eating non-magic supernatural energies.

Pretty sure all lightning in Fairy tail would have ethernano regardless of its source
This is just blatantly false.

People who use curses pride themselves on being immune to anti-ethernano particles, and not relying on magic.
That was the entire point in Tartaros wiping out all ethernano with the Faces so that curses would be the only source of power.

Ok.. let's move on from that point.. Raikiri (and the other lightning moves) are not Kakashi's only jutsu's. He has a ton. Just check his Notable Attacks and Techniques.

So hopefully we can actually get some arguments/votes now

Moving on, Kakashi probably takes this.

He's significantly more skilled and versatile than Laxus but Laxus also has some tricks up his sleeves, such as Empowerment upon his preexisting AP advantage. Larger AoE which should prove quite difficult for Kakashi to avoid.

But alas Laxus has no counters for Kamui and Genjutsu which Kakashi will cast if he needs to.

How good is Kakashi's Genjutsu at this point in the series, from his profile most of it relies upon illusions which Laxus resists.

He won't start with it + he's not allowed to kill.

It's a tournament style fight, so all he has to do is beat him. I guess he could go for the limbs, but who's to say Laxus doesn't beat him before then or gives him time to do so

I didn't realize they weren't allowed to kill.
What are Kakashi's best wincons considering that?
