MCU Phase 4 General Discussion Thread

Hopefully not but if we stand our ground have a convincing arguement and still have majority staff votes then one disagreement isn't enough to shoot the whole thing down since that's only one disagreement vs many user and staff agreements and consensus

First, the team will be seen in ancient Mesopotamia, 7000 BC, at the very dawn of civilization. Next is 5500 years later in ancient Babylon, where the cosmic family is shown to have assisted humans in building a society.

Additionally, Eternals will explore the Gupta Empire in 400 AD in Southeast Asia, as well as the fall of the Aztec Empire in 1521 AD.

When it comes to the locations seen in the MCU's modern-day, the team will be seen around Mumbai, South Dakota, Chicago, Alaska, Australia, and the Amazon forest.

This geographical range required creativity to find the right locations to simulate their environments.

It was noted that "director Chloé Zhao employs a naturalistic style of location-based filmmaking," as she wanted filming to take place at practical locations whenever feasibly possible.

I have this friend who is really pissed about Jane Thor. He kept on explaining why Mangog should have stomped Jane. When I told him that Black Widow hurt Mangog in Avengers Assemble he had a heart attack
I mean, if the heart attack was about how the heck a human spy could physically hurt Mangog, I don't see any problem about it (aside from the very thing about heart attack of course)

Makes me even more excited about the movie. It really shows off the Eternals's immortality, they go through very different time periods, witness empires, civilizations and so on being buildt, successful and fall and the most exotic places will be a good change from the rest of the franchise

Yep and I feel like the fact that for the most part with all of this they'll be filming on location and doing a lot of things practically will just enhance what they're going for with that tenfold

Definitely. And it will probably make their abilities even more spectacular in more natural locations rather than big cities

Honestly, the more I hear about the movie, the more confident about how good it can get I am. They give us many details but that doesn't really spoil the movie and just serves to make things more interesting and help build the movie's setting

Where in the movie timeline does Eternals take place again?
If we're talking about the modern set, some time after Endgame (probably after FFH and maybe after all series). And if we get in the past, then it'll be the farthest point in History since...well, we'll see them in Ancient Mesopotamia in 7000 AD

Edit: As Dalesean pointed out, 7000 BC, not AD lol

Nooo 7000 BC not AD

Also wholly agree

This is the best ******* render ever.

Nobody make a Carnage profile we got that covered.
