RWBY vol 8 discussion thread

It has been discussed in the previous CRT that top tier Huntsmen and Huntresses somewhat scale to Maidens.
We have Cinder failing to one-shot the protagonists. They can exchange multiple melee attacks with her and survive her ranged attacks, and Cinder had to put in effort in order to snap Jaune's sword. This is consistent with Ace Ops harming Maiden Penny, which we previously dismissed as Penny being an inexperienced Maiden but Winter is an inexperienced Maiden and she did fine. Ironwood's BFG add-on was prepared to fight Maiden Penny, but Winter was able to block it and Ironwood was able to tank it.
This is all consistent with Vine containing the bomb.

Yang's bomb can destroy the Megoliath, which is only inferior to boss Grimm and gigantic Grimm in durability.

Even if you upgrade her to tier 7 right now scaling to cinder she would be 5x weaker than Salem.

Saying "ohhh there is not anything saying they can't harm her" is dumb and ignores basic scaling like come on

I don't think Salem having magic that scales to certain level means her durability has to scale there. But then again I don't look at Maiden, magic, or Aura the same as most people here. So there's likely some fundamental misunderstanding.

Also that wasn't remotely close to what I was saying.

Her havint tier 7 physical feats contradicts that, as does the fact that in RWBY higher tir people can allow lower tier people to damage them, its how ozpin was killed by fodder in one of his legends

Also, why would Salem allow herself to be hit and hurt left and right? We see how she can clearly feel pain not to mention that getting ragdolled left and right is literally against her plans when she had Oscar/Ozma there and confined.

Having physical feats for that (what feats btw?) doesn't stop the glass canon status, that's why it is called a glass canon to begin with

To prove to Hazel/Team RWBY and co. that sh cant be killed, that was kinda blatantly stablished whn Hazel was dscribing his initial interaction with her

Firstly, why are you using Infinite Man？Also what was the problem with Ozma getting killed by someone dude?

Secondly, where are getting the notion that she just letting herself getting beat the **** up when she pissed off and trying to recover the relics? Yeah, she just screwing around when she rushing these kids like some school shooter.

And we don't actually know how Hazel original confrontation went. Just that she's was regenerating and she didn't kill him. She definitely not trying to recruit him now. She also won't need to demonstrate to Hazel who's already fought her before. She doesn't need to prove anything nor does she make mention of it. ALSO if she's so superior to this children all she'd need to do is body them to show that.

Wait....that's what she did. Besides the fact Salem knows they know her past and immortality.

You need to show the physical feats for her. And this ******* fiction, these no contradiction with it not following laws of physics. So let's not appeal to reality.

Probably doesn't register pain. After Grimm don't have nervous systems albeit she is only part Grimm.

And before someone mentions her screaming when she was on fire. It could've been screams of frustration and anger. I also don't see her being hurt by fire.
 
Could have sworn some Grimm felt pain when cut, like the Nuckelavee. I always thought that she's harmed herself so many times in order to die that she's no longer fazed.

Preferrably calcing lighting striks that happened later in the scene as well, from what i was told theres a weird animation glitch where they start moving after the initial lightning strikes but this glitch is absent for later dodges
 
Also just a quick question, are all the pro huntsmen and teachers being scaled to 7-C? They never really go through any timeskip training sessions like the main cast and up until Volume 7-8 have been pretty much treated as way stronger
