Crow’s Egg: The Game Thread

Using his Haki and Sword he twists his body in a way to avoid as many bolds as possible while using his blade and techniques to slash and null any other bolt as he moves away from the beast.

“Ugh... how annoying” Gladio says as he slashes towardes the strings that had been shot from the Mages fingers as well has at the Beasts throat.

His expectations were real, so instead of using Selene determenation against him, he decided to go full in.
"Mine main purpose is not a battle, it's rather a help from lose of situational control."
He land a hand with to raise her.
"Stand up, but try not to overuse your powers. We should to know who we're facing at first."

"Time to tidy up."

From underneath the woman's feet, a pitch black hole would come to manifest. Cartoonishly sized and seeming as if it's pit went on for eternity. She gave it a kick, as if it were as weightless as a soccer ball. With luck, regardless of her compatriot's success, she'd attempt to force the golem to fall directly into the portable hole, sent to flail in it's depths. That is before another connected hole opened up in the sky, allowing gravity to take the lead and slam it back down onto the ground elsewhere.
“Thanks for the assist by the way”
Anna points the nearest settlement’s direction out to the group

“We should go that way to find more people”

"A concession from the aggressor is expected in the case of loss. Surrender yourself."

She leaped upwards, seeming to again ignore the person near her, tossing the spear Gungnir at the escaping dart as she did.

While outside of combat, perhaps all she would've wanted was an explanation, but right now she aimed to shoot it down.

She would at this moment forget about the possibility of the spear annihilating or at least significantly harming the soul, as the effects of Madness Enhancement made her not consider such things extensively.

"Come down and surrender, or else."

Understanding the situation with trust on person with spear, he decided to fulfill a request.

"If you say so."

He went down and sit down on place where no one can touch him. Then still seeing a spear person from own perspective, he activated the Clairvoyance and started to watch all events from the perspective of an spear person.

@Those chasing the dart

“Well then...”

You notice you have crossed distances far past the point from where you came into the world. An entourage of horses and...a golem made of flesh, cloth, and bones waiting below.

“....Die as the others before you have!”

Woosh

Wrapping the air around its body, he forced the pressures onto himself. Using powerful gusts of win to dive four folds faster than his hunters! Charging into a mass of sinew and robe...

@PsychoWarper

CRUNCH

With his powers severed from half of his flesh bound shell, his volleys stop. The blow onto his throat staggering him!

“....”

The severed piece of the puppet that still had its power bound to the wizard begins to push its body inward. Merging with it’s organs and cloth to form a half to shield the wound created the by Gladio.

...No.”

A waft of wind combust from his soles! Flinging himself into the air and towards a...dart? His own velocity increasing two -fold!

"Foolishness."

That is all that she said, before letting out a psychic roar, mixed with the maddening of the fairies. Not only was her own speed and strength being amplified by Madness Enhancement, that of her enemies would be reduced, their very spirits crushed, their bodies torn into and their minds attacked.

She hoped this would repel and incapacitate the small fry on the ground. If not, she had her forcefield protecting her.

Gungnir quickly reappeared in her hands, before being released once more, this time with the full intention to crush this man's soul, flying in a massive, raging storm of light at the foe.

Judith aims her bow at the golem made of flesh, imbuing her arrows with the strange essence before letting them fly, honing in on the golem of flesh.

"Eh, if we have to go with murder", the professor murmured to then raising a hand.
His eyes started to glow in a fiery red as suddenly hellish fire wrapped the blade of Gungnir.

"AVERY CHARGE!"

The woman stomps her foot, a surging electricity swarming around her. She's filled up with some kind of energy, empowering her abilities somehow. Or rather, unlocking some that she's held back before. The mild power of creation and imagination was held within her hands, and suddenly, two flags were as well. She smirked and began waving them like a lunatic, a stark juxtaposition to her behavior earlier. Two birds inside what looked like to be cartoonish airplanes would appear dashing through the sky en route to a kamikaze holding spherical bombs alongside them in their cockpit. They swerved around, aiming to take charge at the back of the golem of flesh's body to explode upon impact with it's neck. Combining Judith's attack with hers, if lucky, it would be utterly sandwiched between the two forces. A combination attack.

@Pursuers

“****.”

His heart dropping into his chest. The mage’ ethereal half gets...

bompf

turned into nothing. The roar alone being enough to tear away at the dart’s structure, causing it to fade away into the air around it. Harpooning it seems to be overkill as...

@PsychoWarper

“I guess I didn’t really accomplish anything. What a waste...I’m sorry I couldn’t be strong enough to be there for you Ernamo-”

CRUNCH

Becoming crushed underneathe the swordsman’s weight, blood had spurt all around the forest. Entire trees and even Gladio’s own body caking with blood.

Though of course...there is always something to reap at the remains of a battle

Clank

A bow fused from the crossbows and bones of the guards drops on Maria’s and Gladio’s head...with no harm to them of course! It beams with an aura of grief. The hinges aligning with swirling hues and the threads being spatial. With it having no physical presence whatsoever.

“Nice shot there Maria!”

“... disgusting” Gladio says as he wipes the blood from his body before studying the Bow, “This may come in handy at some point” he says has he places the bow on his back.
He then sees if he cant find any survivors of the affair.

The cartoonish energy within her begins to subside and her movements become far more subdued and proper. She clears her throat, hands straightening her bushed cravat. Once done, she gives a nod towards the one person she's at least made conversation with during this journey. Anna. Just what kind of a person was she? Maria felt inclined to find out.

"Thank you. Anyways, I don't think he's going to come back from that."

She stares at the spot where the golem used to be, waving away the dust with a slight cough. Hardly a challenging opponent, considering how outnumbered he was, but he did give her a glimpse of the power this world had to offer. And still... that voice that set Anna's hand aflame. Were the two related somehow...? Questions for another time.

Judith lowers her bow before walking up to the two.

"That was impressive to say the least, Maria, was it?"

"You would be correct. And that archery talent of yours ... I must commend you on your skill as well."

A slight wave of her hand. She may have been haughty at times -- but even she could recognize finessed prowess when she saw one.

"Thank you, but it's not just thanks to my own archery skills."

To emphasize her point, Judith shows the strange energy that moves through the arrows.

“I have to agree with Maria here. Marksmanship like that is valuable no matter where you are.”
Anna studied both parties intently, but didn’t say anything. You never knew what values people from other worlds may have

@Torlikoff (NOT ATTACHED TO THE REST)

After running with rather inordinate stamina for a...man his size, he comes across stalks of wheat. Towering over any tree he would have ever seen. His body becoming wrapped in the blades of foliage. Their yellow hues and tendrils caressing his stomach as his movement slows. Blots of bleached wheat lay in the distance...

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

Over what he could see from a distance, were disturbances in the yellow..ery. Whatever it was it was bigger than a tower! It’s footsteps certainly...

rumble rumble

...giving truth of the size. His luck would physically speak to him.

“Well I’m here if you need me...oh we’re in Italy by the way! Happy traveling...or should I say, Good luck! AHAHAHAHHAHhahahahahHekekekekekkekekekekekekkekekekekekekeke!”

Maria nodded in agreement with Anna. Accuracy could make all the difference between life and death; especially in situations like that. But then tilted her head in response to the archer's statement. Eventually, after a few moments, she understood. A soft hum escaped her as her irises sized her up.

"I see. So, you have a skill like I do. I must say, it seems more than a coincidence that people like us were placed in the same area together. Did whoever sent us here expect us to go at each other like barbarians...? Or ... do they have something more complicated planned ... ?"

Gungnir flies back to Selene's hands and she seems to at last return to normal, the blur of her movements subsiding.

"He was sufficiently warned."

Selene comments, witnessing the scene her attack had caused.

"So, what will you all do now?"

“I am unsure of this, however I would like to avoid combat if necessary. Especially between us.”

Judith would rather avoid death at this point, and from what she could tell, there are plenty of other people capable of doing just that.

“Yeah, I’m certainly not used to company on this sort of... mission. Well, it certainly wasn’t whatever voice lit me on fire.”

"That certainly seems like the best option, doesn't it? These people ... they seem to think of us as demons. Perhaps we should play on that. I'm sure you all don't enjoy playing off of fear. But, if they truly do fear us, perhaps it could benefit us in the long run. Let's attempt negotiation from here on out. And if that doesn't work, at least I get to see your bow in action again."

A finger trailed along the side of her chin. She was thinking thoroughly about her situation. Her status may not have been all gone. Perhaps, if she could not rule as an heiress, there may just be a place in this world for her to rule ... as a demon.

@The_Divine_Phoenix @Yobo_Blue

[Reposting since Phoenix litterally couldn't react the first time and Yobo missed it because he's a big dummy ]

Selene would be able to feel a gaze upon her, coming from an interminate location, something looking at her from a outside the boundaries of normal reality.

Anna's Scarab would detech the same, sensing something it coming from a pocket realm.

It was already there for a while, having watched the fight, though she probably only notices now since the commotion there is over.

[also this applies to anybody that can sense being scryed from another universe ]

“Well, this would provide me a chance to actually try and talk with the locals.”

Judith is quite curious on how this all might play out. Maybe there are some other abilities she might have.

Selene suddenly looked rather confused, and then started looking around.

To everyone that had pursued the mage, she stated this.

"Something is watching us from another realm."

Anna looks at her oddly after her talk about demons

“Demon is relative. But if fear keeps out unnecessary bloodshed, I’m all for it.”

"Glad to hear it. This is how it's done in the business world, you see. The right words can subdue even the most violent of quarrels."

A smug smile soon arrives on her visage. But her content with the situation was only temporary.

"What ...?"

Attention was suddenly diverted from the archer towards the other. A confused expression had crossed her visage. Ever since that voice, she had suspected such a thing, but the confirmation came as more of a shock to her than she realized. She looked around -- but it was useless for her to sense anything. Essentially, yelling or diverting attention to that fact was taking a shot in the dark.

"Well, it's easy to use the fear of the unknown as a weapon" said noah

then he turned his head to Selene.

"You mean like A spy?"

"I can't say for sure what exactly it is, without trying to go there myself. I can feel a gaze observing us though. I think it has been since the start of that fight, actually."

She explained, looking somewhat unsure as she tried to get a better idea of what this was. Her eyes also focused on her spear in part.

"I should be able to protect from extradimensional incursion if it tries to cause harm, but it hasn't done anything besides watching us yet."
