Bull vs Dragon —Yami Sukehiro vs Mori Jin

Mori opens by closing the gap between him and his opponent with a speed amp, then he fights them in melee.

How fast is the amp? Fighting Yami in melee is gonna be hard, Precog that senses smell, intent, feelings, air movement, muscle movement etc along with another layer of Precog via Mana Zone. Mana Skin boosts his defense and he already has a passive barrier of mana to protect him.

He also has crazy accelerated development which makes him far stronger as the battle plays out.

The amp is fast enough to make Mori appear in front of his opponent in an instant. Acupuncture can break shields that can block blows from Mori. Mind you, Mori's martial art raises his AP, so the shield can take way more than Mori's AP. A martially weaker Mori in the future was capable of fighting someone with precognitive abilities just fine. That Mori didn't train for 17 years by the way.

Mori can also amp himself by using acupuncture up to 8x as Schnee said, so accelerated development is covered there. Also, Mori can make himself unable to feel pain.

For once, Yami actually has the AP advantage for once but not by much since both are on the low end of Low 6-B.

With that said, looking at this fight is probably going to be who hits first since Yami tends to lead with Dark Dimension Cloaked Slash In battles and the range for this fight might actually be what sets the win for Yami.

However I have to ask this first, I only recently started reading God Of High School so I have to ask, under Mori's profile his acupunture apparently has a weakness where if the body is protected it won't work properly, would that work in this scenario since Yami has mana skin

This isn't a bad match up. Yami not only has AD but he has stat boosting with Mana Zone which multiplies the his stats. On top of thst his precog definitely gives him and edge but again Yami has another form of precog it seems with his Mana zone which increases his range even more. Anything to enter his mana zone is automatically picked up by his senses.

Yami also has flight advantage and he has range over Mori as well because his attacks bypass distance. What's worse is the fact that he might be able to suck mori's staff into a void if Mori let's it stay small

I mean it only didn't work on Ardun, who has a body made of the hardest material known to man.

Edit: I'm referring to acupuncture. Also Mori can't swing the staff unless he's in Monkey King mode.

Yami has the AP advantage, plus projectile-like durability negation, and Yami has the flight advantage via Mana Zone.

Jin has the speed advantage and has durability negation as well, though it is unclear to me what the nature of this durability negation is. I am unfamiliar with Jin's overall techniques, and I have no idea if he is capable of dealing with straight-up magic or not.

However, what I do know, is that Yami can easily deal with the speed advantage by using reinforcement magic, Mana Zone, and ki. He has fought opponents with teleportation capabilities in the past and managed to keep up with them.

One question I have is if Jin can deal with flight in any way. And make sure you explain it by referencing something that we can find on his profile.

Bo-Bup can allow Mori to attack flying enemies. His clone, Mori Hui, used Bo-Bup to attack Mandeok while he was flying at a distance. Mori can also perform Kick of the Blue Dragon and Kick of the Double Dragon to attack enemies from far away.

Bo-Bup is basically a speed acceleration technique that allows Mori to seemingly teleport in front of people. Even those of similar speeds to Mori just see him appear in front of them.

Kick of Blue Dragon and Kick of Double Dragons are basically kicks that Mori can do to create invisible air dragons that home in on their target.

He could see 5 seconds into the future with perfect clarity. However, Mori's movements were so diverse and unpredictable that it forced him to see several alternate futures at once. This did not occur with literally anyone else in the series.

I mean Mori has fought analytical prediction users before like Ilpyo Park. The latter was consistently getting the upper hand over Mori throughout their fight until Mori decided to put some modicum of effort and overwhelmed Ilpyo. Mind you, Ilpyo basically knew Mori in and out thanks to his connection with Mori's grandfather, and Ilpyo was using a subset of Mori's martial art, designed to overcome the flaws of Re-Taekowndo and act as a direct counter to the art itself.

Mori also has the acupuncture amps that just require him to put two fingers against his temple to use. He can boost his AP and speed up to 8x while the effects are active, on top of turning his pain off so he doesn't feel anything and won't be hindered by injuries.

Why doesn't Ilpyo have analytical prediction then? Like in his intelligence it's noted but it's not listed as an ability?

"won't be hindered" without further context is a very poor feat/statement to use. If he were to lose both legs, would he still be unhindered? I highly highly doubt it, obviously. My point is that you're going to need to be more specific about what you mean by "an injury," and we need to be able to gauge the limits of his abilities to not be hindered. Otherwise, this could potentially delve into NLF territory.

What type of analytical prediction did Ilpyo have/use? How does it work? What does it do and does not do? Because simply stating Mori has defeated analytical prediction users before without further context is not very able to help us determine whether Mori can do anything about Yami's Ki, which is a very specific type of analytical prediction technique that may not be compatible with Ilpyo's techniques. So, unless the techniques are similar, it would be hard to judge just how well Mori can deal with Yami's Ki.

Yami's Ki, to be specific, works by reading the natural life energy that humans and other beings give off, and this allows him to effectively and efficiently predict what the opponent will do, even when they become untraceable to all other forms of sensing available within his verse, be it physical or magical. This, in particular allows him to basically "read intentions," and as such, he can detect whether someone is lying or not by simply using Ki. He made use of this when he confronted William Vangeance to try to see if William was lying about his identity or not.

This is the essence of how it works. It works very differently than seeing the future or acquiring immediate understanding of the opponent's fighting style. In practice, the way Yami uses Ki is by reading the opponent's Ki to know what their next move is going to be, and preemptively reacting. If Yami is about to launch an attack and the opponent teleports away, then Yami can read the Ki to know exactly where they are going to teleport and launch the attack as they are teleporting away preemptively into that direction, so the attack still hits them (usually). If the opponent teleports behind him suddenly and launches an attack, Yami can react to it and parry it or block it because his usage of Ki allows him to know the opponent was going to do it by reading off their natural energy beforehand.

However, there is one clear weakness that Yami has, and we saw this being pointed out in chapter 51, page 13, where he was fighting against all members of the Third Eye, and Vetto attacked him. Yami pointed out that Vetto read his own Ki, and used this to take the advantage. This means that even though Yami can read Ki, if someone else can read Ki too, he can potentially get out-read, and out-reacted. I suppose this would also apply to opponents with other forms of precognition and analytical prediction as well.

Mori was impaled through the chest and both arms and continued fighting. He was continuously struck by lightning and still punched Jegal relentlessly because he couldn't feel a thing. Mori's clone, Mori Hui, could fight a God without arms or legs. Breaking bones is seen as an inconvenience to Mori even without Painlessness. If you don't put Mori down in the first hit, he can adapt to and copy your martial art on top of creating brand new techniques meant to counter your fighting style. When faced with Ilpyo's fire kicks that were created by the oxygen rich air around them, Mori created a counter kick that utilized the cool air that sank from the fire to create an ice kick. Even his move, Kick of the Blue Dragon was a move he came up with after seeing Daewi perform wave of blue dragon.

Ilpyo' analytical prediction was capable of discerning acupuncture just by looking at it and figuring out that it's dependant on Mori's right index finger. He also knew every move Mori was going to make before Mori did it and cancelled out his attacks with his own. Mori still overcame Ilpyo in the end.

Yeah, this feels more decisive to Mori tbh. Yami can one shot at any time. It's just that Mori is way more skilled and versatile.

Yami's analytical prediction is good enough to sense emotions, intent, muscular movement, feelings, air movement, etc. I dunno, I feel like Jin will have a lot harder time hitting that.
