Pretty sure Akuma teleports and performs the Raging Demon GG. Hes also intangible while doing it.

doesn't Raging Demon only soul hax if the person was gonna die anyway?

and Cocytus resists soul hax anyway

Don't just write things of as game mechanics because it suits your argument, what contradicts that point.

so, Akuma starts in Cocytus's Frost Aura, which will descrease his speed and damages him over time

one of Cocytus's earlier moves is Smite Frost Burn, which freezes the target through to the point they shatter

I think this might be an easy win for Cocytus, Akuma only scales above 22 megatons while cocytus scales to like 50 megatons. Cocytus resist soul hax (Both ripping and destruction due to his world class item) He has an advantage in range and reach due to his large size, he has four arms and simultaneously wields four divine class items.

Teleportation while an advantage isn't an unfamiliar tactic to cocytus. Plus akumas going to be slowed and injured by his frost aura as the fight goes on. Cocytus frost aura out-ranges akumas attacks so akuma can't escape the aura and deal damage. Meaning cocytus will hold the speed advantage pretty quickly

Interesting question would you consider Akuma an evil person? If so cocytus is going to have the added advatage of some of his attacks dealing more damage.

What no impossible :O

My break from the site turned into a break from the internet in general but Im back and feeling revitalized.

Him being evil hurts his chances even more cocytus has techniques that deal more damage to evil aligned characters.

Immovable Wisdom King Strike both does more damage and reduces the speed of evil characters

Also welcome back Pen!

speaking of Divine class weapons, one wielded by Ainz against Shalltear, was made by Cocytus's creator, and it tore through Shalltear and her armor "like paper", so it's likely Cocytus's are at least of comparable power and quality

Yeah voting cocytus, he resist akumas hax and holds an advantage in range, status effects, statistic reductions and having four divine class weapons swinging around is going to be difficult to deal with. All this is further compounded by akuma's evil nature allowing wisdom king strike to furter reduce his stats and deal more damage.

Edit Good to be back apeironaxim

Question: how does said "more effective against evil" thing interact with morally neutral characters? I'm kinda curious.

Anywho, Cocytus FRA until more arguments come up.

also, Cocytus's weapons are either nearly as tall as him, or as tall, so Cocytus would have the range advantage in CQC as well, as Akuma only has fists as far as i can tell

You take the deafault amount of damage, to my understanding attacks associated with morality have a base amount of damage/effect this gets boosted depending on the moral alignment. Even a fully good character would still take signficant damage to cocytus attack.

Another morality based attack was used by and angel and the difference described about its attack was evil creatures would be atomized while good would simply leave charred remains.

Overlord has a wide Karma system, with around -25 to -50 still being called "Neutral" and -100 karma being "Neutral Evil", so I guess if we compared a character's actions and attitude toward someone in Overlord, we might be able to get a rough estimation if they would count as evil

that said, iirc the damage boost and speed reduction does more the more evil they are, so even if the more Neutral characters counted, it wouldn't be a massive boost in damage or speed decrease against them
