The MCU changes. Edit: Looks like we need to finalize some stuff and we need to do more work on the calcs

After 2 discussions here and here about the current tiering of the MCU cast. We all decided that their statistics had some problems.

1. The calculation of Thor destroying sokovia shouldn't be used because the attack was amplified by the vibranium core.

2. The feat about the neutron star couldn't be used since the full luminosity of the star couldn't be in the full beam, the thing hitting thor wasn't the full star since we only saw the beam hitting the pedestal in which thor was in. The rest of the tier 6 feats like Iron Man tanking a meteor was rejected due to being unable to see iron man on a meteor so we can do a calculation and hela crushing mjolnir was rejected due to the fact of uncertainites of how mjolnir was forged by the star. We did some recalculations and the best we got would be 7-B for the Top tiers with thor creating a thunderstorm in wakanda

Conclusions people:

1. The 7-A's will be High 7-C

2. The tier 6's will be 7-B

I thought this was a CRT. Anyway, not all the ratings and calcs are agreed upon, you're just rushing into this.
 
We've established the original ratings had problems we now need to scale them to other feats, we still have to discuss which feats we're scaling them to. Though I feel we covered most of the 6c calcs and 7a ratings. We agreed what their new ratings would be now we need to look over the feats for those ratings.
 
The calcs have to be accepted first, by the Calc Members and other staff.

Yeah I know deleted my comment, just a bit exhausted, how much more is there to discuss beyond what we're scaling them to now and getting the calcs looked at accepted?
 
Now we need to create a blog with the newly calculated feats and have them accepted. someone should contact dino w as he did many of the calcs in thread and he would probably be the best person to create the blog
 
We can also just request someone to calc those feats in the Calc Request Thread, with the addition of explaining the downgrades.

That could give us a bit of attention, pretty sure everyone here so far is tired.

Just to sure, Thor cracking sokovia (Without amp oc), Thor tanking the destruction, Thor making an storm in wakanda and Thor tanking neutron star, are the only ones right?
 
Thor cracking sokovia I doubt is actually calcuable we have zero idea of how throughly he'd crack it, he could split it into thirds, fourths or halves, it never happens so not sure if it's actually calculable. Feel free to ask just my thoughts, not meant to be rude/discouraging.

thor tanking the destruction should be fine.

storm should be fine


Thor tanking the nuetron star might be hard to explain (you'd need to explain the problems with the current calc and the reason it needs to be remade, the laser clearly not being the full power/energy of the star and it having significantly cooled thus necessitating the use of the average temp of neutron stars) might be best to let dino handle that one with a blog rather then trying to explain in the thread.
 
Actually, the full luminosity of the star can be in a beam because the structure is described as a Dyson Sphere by production itself. Dyson Sphere theoretically can utilize most of a star's energy

yes they can, but the way the laser behaves doesn't line up with that, the full luminosity of the star doesn't appear to be condensing down into a beam. Ill argue this more tommorow but I really need some sleep, apologies all around.

Explaining all the wrong calc is going to take a while. We should make a compilation of it

The reason that the beam containing all of the power of the star seems dubious is because the rest of the star remains bright, meaning there is still power in those areas of the star, meaning that not all of the power of the star is being directed into the beam.
 
Apparently, the dragon chasing Thor in Thor: Ragnarok created earthquakes.

Hulk also caused a small earthquake in South Africa when fighting Hulkbuster. Of course that's nothing close to Tier 6 but it might be relevant now.

Btw what is the problem with the Surtur feat, and can the Iron Man meteor feat be recalculated?
 
The Surtur feat seems to be because it was a sacrificial blast kind of thing

Also how far did that Earthquake extend? It could be a solid supporting feat.

I'd say the Iron Man feat can be recalced

Sure, Surtur destroys Asgard here.

But we already agreed that the explosion was not caused by Surtur since the script says that he hit the core of Asgard which caused it to explode.
