Hello vampire and devil hunters

So today, I bring to you a fight between DMC and VHD which isn't a stomp (I hope), Dante vs Greylancer, the vampire might not have the same amount of hax as Dante, but he have some tricks

- Both at Low 2-C, DMC2 Dante have the Sparda here

- Speed is Equalized

- Both are in-character

- Fight starts with 500 meters between them

Dante:

Greylancer:

Inconclusive: 1 (Dark Grath)

Too bad I won't be able to participate in this debate, it would be fun lol

DMC2 - Dante
"It's not about loss... Strength is a choice. Fighting like hell to protect what's important. You threw away everything you ever had... No wonder you have no true power!"

Noble Greylancer (2)

Hmmmmm

I think I go for Dante on this one. He should have the AP advantage due to that amulet from DMC2 which boost his AP

But I dunno if he can keep Grey down since he has low-godly Regenerationn. Dante best bet would be trying to seal greylancer

That is, if Grey doesn't BFR Dante to another dimension first

Dante has dimensional travel so that BFR won't be a problem but the matter manipulation stuff is likely a problem though Dante has deflected a particle beam attack before so the Lance's matter manipulation shouldn't be a problem...unless it touchs Dante.

Here is DMC2 Dante, he's scalling chain is a little shorter, he can basically stomp a Low 2-C who's already stronger than baseline

But, Grey is comparable to D who have Low 2-Cs feats even when casual and he can fight other Low 2-Cs and win without much difficulty, the AP is close against Base Dante, but yeah, DT Dante might be a problem, since it makes Dante capable of one shoting people who are comparable to his base

However, he needs Sealing to take down Grey's Low Godly Regen and Resurrection, but Sealing is completely out of his character and needs Sparda Sword, which he have here but doesn't start with it, while Matter Manip strikes for Grey are his basic, start moves, and if one single blast touches Dante, it's over

Pretty good battle huh ?

Well, my opinion regarding the whole sealing situation is that he'd be willing to use it only if it was the last possible resort. There are plenty of times in the frachise where Dante could have used sealing, but chose not to because it was prevented in some way (such as not having the Sparda Sword) or other solutions were just far more viable.

How good is Greylancer's Matter Manip? If it's a one-shot that he is likely to use immediately, then this is probably actually a stomp, but I highly doubt it is quite that simple.

I'm holding off on voting for now until I get some clarification about the Matter Manip.

It's a Particle Beam that he fires with his Lance, it's not a Homing Attack, but if it touches Dante, it will erase him completely, literally destroying all of his matter, Dante can't regenerate from this

It's something that Grey use in character normally, but he doesn't spam, however Dante have some things to help him, like DT's speed amp (which is 10 times, making him far faster than Grey)

About Sealing, don't forget Greylancer's Forcefield Creation, which can protect him

Hmm... I see.

Well, as long as it's not exactly a spammed attack on his part, then I don't see a problem.

DT's Speed Amp could be really, really useful here, since it would make it nearly impossible for Grey to get a good hit in.

Even if Grey does have Forcefield Creation, I doubt he'd recognise that the Sealing bullet is dangerous enough to warrant it.

Overall, I'm going Incon. It comes down to whether Grey hits with his particle beam or if Dante seals. Grey using his particle beam seems to be far more in-character, but it's not very likely to actually hit Dante and he wouldn't overuse it. Wheras Dante using sealing is unlikely (at least until he realises there's no other options) but the moment he does use it, it is practically a guaranteed win-con.

+1 for Incon.

I'm going with Dante here, 10x boost in speed and AP when in DT along with Chronoheart slowing time when Dante attacks, Dante would easily try everything possible against Noble Greylancer and realize he can't die and then he goes for sealing and with the speed advantage and time manipulation, Dante can likely just dodge the anti-gravity chariot's attack or deflect it like he did with Mundus's attack. They're is really no way for Greylancer to actually hit Dante unless Dante stands still.

I give it to Dante mid-high diff
