Momo Momozono vs The Thing (Finished)

Fight takes place in a darkened and closed school building. The Thing is divided into a dozen small animal sized bits and spread out around the school. Momo knows not to let it touch her but that's it.

Speed Equalized, Victory via any means.

So I forgot how interesting Momo is and now I wanna try her out in a few matches.

does The Thing understand words in animal form ? if it can't ,well momo can't use her ability to insta seal and would make the battle quite difficult for her.

she crushes in AP but against Thing it's counter productive to touch it

she didn't display any attacks from her vibration or sound manipulation .


If Thing can understand words then momo take this with mid difficulty
 
It's not exactly clear at what point the thing becomes sentient. We know it's not on the cellular level or in really small amounts like say drops of blood, but how much mass it really requires is a little up in the air. Although Momo has sealed corpses too.
 
styles require the target to understand words

but you bring a very interresting point , momo did sealed corpses who can't understand words because , well they're dead .

maybe it's ok as long as the target understood words at some point ? that shouldn't be the case otherwise styles should work on enraged opponents .

plot hole ?
 
the card clearly say "dead card" on the card and zenkichi appeared in ajimu's classroom meaning he was dead

ajimu clearly say : "sealing a dead body"
 
he woudn't be a dead body then wich is against ajimu's statement and the fact that zenkichi appeared in her classroom
 
He didn't actually appear though. He was sealed before he would have aka before he actaully died. As for Ajimu's statment, she's not exactly the most positive person in the world and if Zenkichi hadn't been sealed he certianly would have been dead. It's like saying "Dead men walking" about someone on the way to being hanged.

but she say that sealing a dead body would not cross her mind , it's quite specific

sealing someone on the verge of death to stabilize him is understandable but sealing someone already dead is more out there.

  • sigh* whatever , let's say that she can't seal corpses and that there no contradiction , there is still the question of Thing understanding words or not .
 
That's still a little up in the air. Maybe I should change the exact form of the Thing to something a little less ambiguous?
 
it's complicated because Thing only understand words without a doubt in human form but in human form it would just get insta sealed without even having a chance to take momo by surprise

other smaller forms have at least a chance to take her by surprise but we don't know if it can understand words
 
Apies doing Thing things again? I wouldn't have it any other way.

So, if I understand Momo right, her wincon is sealing the Thing, which means speaking to it. And the Thing's wincon is touching her.

However, where the balance tips towards the Thing is the battlefield. There are a dozen Thing pieces spread out around the school, and Moms has no idea where they are. While she could locate them and seal them (let's assume, for the sake of argument, that the Thing can understand words), I think that it's much more likely that the naturally stealthy Thing will eventually get close enough to touch it.

Going for the Thing mid/high-diff

but the target have to understand words for the ability to work because this type of ability doesn't work on enraged opponent who doesn't even care about words for example.

I have to go with Thing FRA. Crimson put it nicely.
 
Thing voters argue that Thing, being spread out through many organisms, would likely be able to hit Momo before Momo finds and obliterates every single one of them.
 
I mean...that seems pretty likely? Sounds a bit weird to assume she couldn't.

Id vote Thing based off what I was given, then. Seems pretty clear cut..
 
But momo can seal multiple targets instantly. The more pressing issue was that some of his forms cannot understand human language, but Momo can seal corpses so that may be less of an issue.
 
You're misunderstanding the battle situation. Momo isn't just standing in front of 12 pieces of Thing. The Thing is actively hiding all around the school, already in stealth. With 12 chances, I find it hard to believe that the naturally stealthy Thing won't get close enough to just touch her once

Cause that's all it's gonna take. One touch
 
There are several simple answers to that. First off she just needs to speak slowly and the time for all of the pieces will be artificially slowed down, and the slower and slower she speaks the slower it will get.

Also, she can just walk out of the school, and make it harder for the thing to approach her, to stay in a room with one way in and one way out. With how smart she is I have no doubt she could come up with better tactics than I could to not get taken out by stealth.

It just takes her being aware of them for it to go down, that's it.
 
It's already been disscussed that she didn't seal a corpse, but we're working under the assumption that the Thing can understand human speech even in this form.
 
Even if we say that Zenkichi wasn't actually dead, a user of the same Style did legit seal a dead body after using death hax on him. So she can seal a corpse
