8-C Haxless Bracket Round 7: Afro Samurai vs Wekapipo

Ah alright. Does he fight much up close? If not Afro may be able to just avoid his attacks and close the distance considering he's good at dodging and blocking from what I know.

So in that case Afro should just be able to close the distance and back Wekapipo up considering that he can't really hurt Afro if he gets too close, which he likely would be able to.

Afro Samurai FRA

Wekapipo seems too limited to be much of an issue for Afro, and I doubt Wekapipo could do anything to him once he gets close

Um...his balls can cause Afro to lose sensation in half of his body even if they don't hit him.

However, I'm unsure of how that affects Afro. I guess he'd be half blind, and be off balance as he'd be deaf in one ear. If I'm understanding the ability right.

I'm not sure. I'm no Jojo specialist. It says that whomever is struck by the shockwaves from his balls loses the senses on their left side. And it's described as perception manip. I'm assuming it means that.

I mean, losing sensation in half your body isn't really deadly... right? And Weka is only 10-A, so...

IDK. Voting for Afro for now

I mean, if it works like he's half blind, half deaf, etc, then it's very effective against someone who can only use melee.

But, once again, I'm not exactly sure how it works. So I'd rather wait for someone who does know.

Not effective when you can't follow it up. At minimum, Afro is 3486666.66667x stronger physically.

I mean, can't the guy throw out two balls? Or three? Or four? Or five? Lol. He doesn't seem like the type to go in for melee from what I've gathered of his profile. He seems to just spam the balls, which can hurt Afro.

If they only numb Afro then I'd go with him hands down. But if they literally shut down all his senses on his left side, then it gets tricky as only the shockwaves from the balls have to hit him. So dodging or reflecting the ball wouldn't be enough.

I wasn't the one to suggest Wekapipo, but fine.

Wekapipo fights at range and never gets CQC, but getting close simply means he has an easier time hitting you. He actually only has 2/3 balls, but they automatically come back after he throws them thanks to spin. If the ball is blocked or it's just close enough, it will release a big amount of small satellites, which are pretty hard to dodge, and just one is able to cause the left-axitasia (I think it was called this way?).

The opponent loses every kind of sensibility to his left side. He can barely stand due to not being able to see his left leg, and we know that, if you don't know his power in advance, it seems like half of your body literally got erased. Also, they cannot feel anything on their left side, meaning that if Wekapipo just came to his left, he'd be absolutely invisible to his opponent.

I vote Wekapipo for being able to hit Afro (as the satellites are pretty much impossible to dodge if you don't expect them), and then just killing him from the left side when Afro is completely unable to even realize he got hit.

I've just checked, the satellites are homing attacks. So that makes them even harder to dodge. No character in the series ever managed to do it iirc.

The purple guy had previous knowledge. Just look at how it feels if you don't know how it works.

U-um, sorry, where is the post organizing the tournament? To imagine I'd miss a Smashor vsbattles tournament >.>
