Fifth round of the 7-B Brackets begins! Winner of the last round was Korra.

Current Standings (A "-1" indicates a fighter was disqualified for whatever reasons)

The combatants for this round are Sportacus, nominated by The Wright Way, and Astro Boy, submitted by Cueio 2020.

1960's Astro Boi is used. Speed is equal. So that Sportacus can fully use his abilities, battle takes place inside of Donkey Kong's Banana Horde, 20 meters away.

Astro Boy scales to 7 megatons, Sportacus can harm someone with 38 megato durability.

Astro Boy - 7 (DontTalk, Anton, Litentric, Insecurity, Psycho, Zark, Cueio)

Sportacus - 7 (Rot, Wright, Bambu, Azoth, Fate, Jacky, Dragon)

The calc doesn't look like it's been accepted but it's at least consistent with his rating so I'll link it.
 
Vote for Astro Boy due to being a better fighter with better abilities.


That aside, how useable is Astro Boy's timetravel?
 
I would say Astro via skills, flight, range attacks and intelligence, but I'm unsure of the AP gap so idk.
 
I don't think the time travel is something he does during combat but I may be mistaken.
 
Range (includind flight), stamina, weaponry and intelligence would give Astroboy the win. Don't see any advantage that Sportocus can use.
 
Astro most likely takes the win here.

Has higher stamina, far better intelligence and far more likely to stay at a range than go CQC. And if we're using the 33 megaton calc for Astro, AP isn't that much of a factor.

I mean I dunno Sportacus can also fly so I don't think that'd be an issue. Range attacks and intelligence could be a problem
 
I actually think this is pretty close. I'm pretty sure Sportacus can do something to amp his stats.

But overall, I'd go Astro since he actually has ranged attacks that can deal damage to Sportacus while he's trying to close the distance. Intelligence should help as well.
 
Sportacus can only flight via his Zeppelin (or at least the profile makes it sound like it).
 
Astro Boy takes this by range spamming, something very in character for him to do. Voting AB

Actually, Sportacus can also fly with a scooter he usually has on him.
 
Assuming his Zeppelin is allowed, flying with it is pretty limited, and it makes Sportacus a greater target, more easy to hit with weaponry.
 
But if it's in a scooter, he's easier to move around.

And also he can probably dodge a bit of the ranged attacks. Not saying he takes this just supplying argument. His crystal would help him sense that danger yeah?
 
Can Sportacus fight with the scooter as good as fighting on ground? The disadvantage could be lesser, but still there considering that losing the scooter would makes him lose domain in the air.

Not sure how Crystal works, if is just something that tells you "something bad is comign" or it works as the spider-senses.
 
Speed for projectiles is always unequalized I think, because that'll really mess up physics...

Speed is equal, so its irrelevant, if there's enough distance then it can be dodged, but spamming makes it more difficult.
 
Here's the thing, can we use a calc that hasn't been accepted? Cause without that calc, Astro Boy is baseline (I assume because of no calcs on his profile), so Sportacus one-shots (it would be hilarious if Sportacus made it past round one)
 
The Crystal was akin to a Police Radio and told Sportacus about a crime happening, and isn't like precog or foreboding
 
I'm pretty sure it just says something bad is gonna happen, but still it gives him a fighting chance, and he could probably get like a tennis ball machine to shot tennis balls at the dude. I'm fairly certain the tennis ball machine shoots tennis balls stupid fast. It's stupid but it could work if he has the zeppelin

also could he like control the zeppelin while he wasn't on it?

I mean, it probably will be accepted and I plan on messaging Bambu about it so I think using it for now is fine.
 
I checked the calc. If any, you can assume Astroboy as baseline (if not downgraded), and x6 difference isn't enough to oneshot, even less if someone has no vitals.
 
So did I. And yeah. Astro is now baseline.

Okay. So how casual is it? Because Robbie was completely unharmed by the 38 Megaton thing.
 
I still vote for Astroboy, he could be outclassed in AP, but he surpass in everything else.

Astro boy can't even hurt him. Robbie was completely unharmed by 38 megatons and Sport hurt him just fine.
