Blaziken(Rooster) vs. Infernape(Monkey): Before Fire/Fighting starters got super old.

Infernape has a better ranged game and can deal super effective damage with acrobatics, but that's it really. Blaziken is slightly stronger than Infernape, and will soon easily outpace Infernape through agility + speed boost. Infernape can power null agility mind, but not Blaziken's passive amp in speed boost.

Yeah, chicken beats monkey. Passive speed amps is too much and Blaziken has Peck, which while isn't as effective as Acrobatics and probably would deal more damage with Double Kick, it's still a super effective move.

Before I vote Blaziken, doesn't Infernape's mach punch pretty much nullify the speed amps? I remember in the Ash vs Paul fight, Paul's Pokémon used agility a multitude of times and infernape still caught it with a macho punch

I was expecting a debate but with all things considered I'm going to vote for Blaziken. Speed boosts and moveset are more than enough to give the rooster a good advantage.

Blaziken FRA. I think Infernape can deal with him better at the beginning but the speed amps and Blaziken's overall skill should get the Rooster across the line
