Well, we discussed and agreed on this a while ago, and now it's Summer. We have the highest attention we will get out of our staff, including many we didn't have prior!

So, what are we doing here? We're revising the tier given to members of Tier 5-A to 3-A based on new values found in our last discussions. Turns out stars are even more durable than we thought.

This blog gives a full layout of the new tier thresholds, which tiers moved which direction, and all the arithmetic means to use the "+" sign for.

What we need to do now is find all the characters between 5-A and 3-A that use a calculation and see if that found value would move to any of the other tiers or gain/lose the "+" sign.

Any and all staff willing to participate in this are appreciated, especially Content Mods and Admins for locked profiles.

I already told Antvasima before, but I'll say again here. I apologize for being unable to participate in this revision, as I'm unavailable throughout the summer until after August 15, as I'm going to study in the USA. But if there is still work left to do after August 15 I'm willing to help.
 
That's fine. I'd wait that long but I, and other US based members, will be going back to college/school around that time.

About time we went through with this. I know of a few 5-A+ who would be upgraded to High 5-A. This includes the Contra profiles and Starfy come to mind.
 
I don't really know if we have some organizational thing all planned out, but I can definitely help out at the very least with verses I'm familiar with. For example, WarHam's 5-As now fall under lower-end High 5-A, while their 4-Bs remain low-end for some and "very high but not quite Solar System level+" for others. This means it would be very easy for me to take care of the verse's changes once the revisions start.
 
Kalitas makes a pretty good list too.
 
I can start whenever, though we should set up some organized teams so we have a better game plan.

I moved this thread to the staff forum. Anyway, I am obviously too busy with my regular wiki work to be able to participate.

As far as Versus I'm familiar with, most of them are remaining unchanged by the looks of it. Seems the Low 4-C's from Metroid Prime 2 should remain At least Low 4-C Starfy gets an added "+" sign though. High 4-C's from Zelda are actually 4-B; except for Majora and Fierce Deity Link. Who appear to be Star level+ was it? Judging based on the Bayonetta section.

Starfy seems like an quick and easy one to get out of the way if anyone else is alright with that.
 
Well, I'm going to bed, so feel free to set on agreed-upon time. I don't have my schedule yet, but I'm usually off on Sunday and Monday.
 
Im going to request the Bayonetta profiles be left alone for the time being as the verse itself is currently going through other revisions so i can take care of the tier 4 stuff when i adjust everything else

Haven't I protested the 4-A rating before? The Sun has a lower GBE than Alpha Centauri's so you should be using the Alpha Centauri's GBE to calculate 4-A from the mean point between them, not the Sun's. I remember you agreeing with me back then.

Also, doesn't a galaxy of the size of Andromeda (or our own galaxy for all that's worth) have at least one Neutron Star? A single neutron star would tremendously effect the power needed to destroy it, since you'd have to destroy the outermost neutron star of the galaxy. If you're going to review the ratings for greater precision, this should definitely be taken into account.
 
Did I agree? I kinda feel neutral about that right now.

As for neutron stars in galaxies, yes. There would be. But you don't see neutron stars visibly and it would basically be impossible to prove their destruction. The only reason PSR is used for 3-A is because 3-A is the complete destruction of all matter in the universe.
 
Oh, I see.

I was checking now and it seems Alpha Centauri's GBE is smaller than the Sun's by a tiny amount, so sorry for my intervention overall.
 
yeah use a neutron star for a baseline tier is useless in this case, neutron star are way smaller than a planet but an enormous mass, an "abnormal stars", if we use a neutron star for a end, we obtain 1,44E+47 J, just a bit higher than baseline Solar System, it's useless in our case exepct we create another tier

But good question anyway ;)
 
The Sacred Realm features Planet at the center and Sun at the edge, so the Complete Triforce is 4-B. From what I remember, Link actually had the Complete Triforce when he fights Demise, so Demise could be 4-B. As for Majora, not sure if it's the Sun or Earth at the center, but it should still be at least High 4-C.
 
Actually Demise was bested by Link, they maybe should not scale. I'm fine with him being above Majora, but inferior to the Triforce, which is the most powerful thing in the verse alongside the True Master Sword.
 
Well, wasn't he canonically still a challenge? I know Link still won, and that Demise still isn't quite as powerful as the Triforce or the True Master Sword, but I don't think it was like a curbstomp. I'm fine with him remaining at least High 4-C.
 
Antasma is High 4-C+ without a specified value and thus might have the minimum for that. If the cap of the tier raised, he loses the plus along with everyone who scales from him in Marioverse, am I right?

Mand21: They are scaled from this [Lina Calc], which likely leads them to be edited again.
 
The new requirement for High 4-C+ is 2.771e+35 tons. Their feat gives off 2.362e+35 tons. So I guess yes, they should probably get edited.
 
SP Cell likely remains at 4-B since he is a bit above 22.4 Foe, the others might remains as such because to get the + you need to be over 6000x stronger than Cell, which there are not [SS Vegito might be mentioned for the at least].
