Raiden (Metal Gear) vs Ryuko Matoi

The latter is a complete game mechanic as shown by literally every instance that isn't gameplay

Anyway, if Raiden can beat her regen with Blade Mode then he can likely win, if not blah blah regen blah blah

EDIT: Although now that speed amps are allowed Raiden's HF blade striking at Sub-Rel speeds can likely go through it.

Interesting match. I want to say Raiden since one of his weapons is scissor-like and if he decides to use it he cancels her regen. If he doesn't then she'll win through attrition. She isn't weak by any means though.

Unfortunately he'd have to know to use that weapon and he'd probably get around to it, but not before Ryuko kills him.

That said Ryuko's regen gets easily taxed in her 7-C form. Though not in the sense that she'd die but get exhausted instead (and then eventually die after). Something Raiden could easily do with the HF blade.

It's an interesting one and I can play Devil's Advocate for either. It actually comes down to whether Raiden uses his pincer blades or not (curiously this piece of equipment is not on his profile though he DOES have them) http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Rising:_Revengeance_weapons#Bloodlust_.28Pincer_Blades.29 in case anyone wants to update his profile.

I'll have to wait for now. I'm a big fan of both series.

Yes, unless cut from both sides simultaneously in in a scissor motion life fibers regenerate immediately after being damaged

Well, Raiden does have a scissor-like weapon, but idk if he'll get to know that he needs to use it.

How far is Ryuko into 7-C again?

Baseline

Why can't it get past unless it slices both sides? Pretty sure slicing a Dura ignoring blade at Sub-Rel speeds would slice in half.

Ryuko is stronger than baseline 7-C and far enough into 7-C that it took a low 7-C several hours of continuous punches to just scratch and bruise her slightly

Low 7-C isn't actually that far from 7-C numbers-wise

Also regarding Gargoyle's question, no, dura negation alone won't do anything, it has to be done in in a scissor motion, speed alone won't stop her from regenerating

Considering that Raiden is 10-11 KT via Ripper and Blade Mode multipliers, I think he'll get to use Pincer Blades: Bloodlust to put Ryuko down.

Raided isn't 10 kt, he's like 4 with those modes

Also he has no idea how her regen works so why would he think to use them?

Also he's not bloodlusted

Without a calc, it cannot be assumed that Ryuko is beyond baseline.

Raiden can bypass her regen with one of his weapons, which he'll eventually use. Raiden doesn't neglect his weapons, so I think I'll go for Raiden after a long fight

@Versus Shes defeated three baseline 7-Cs while taking very little damage despite being hit a lot by them

Ryuko can also instantly oneshot hint as he is Low 7-C unless he goes ripper blade mode right from the start

One. Of several. While being a completely lower tier that ryuko can oneshot unless he goes ripper blade mode right from the start

Pretty sure the OP is using Ripper Mode Raiden from the start.
