So, since my old thread is now a superstomp as of recent upgrades, I decided to try another matchup between two superhuman assassins

No prep time or prior knowledge. Fight takes place on a dark street with dim lighting. Starting distance of 7 meters. Each fighter starts with a combat knife in hand. Both are in character, Bucky in kill-mode and Vino also aiming to kill.

Victory via death.

Best Husbando: 3 (LordGinSama, Nico-v11, LSirLancelotDuLacl)

Winter Soldier is so much more expirienced and skilled it's not even funny, on top of his more versatile weaponry and his aggressive fighting style and he should take this.
 
Also keep in mind that Niles the alchemist is another master knife-fighter who's been at it since the 1730's, and even he's been stated to be no match for Claire.
 
Just looking at their profiles, I get the feeling that Winter is the more disciplined of the two, but it looks like Claire might just be a little faster. Plus Winter is definitely gonna go for the kill right off the bat.

I'll be voting Winter Soilder for now.
 
I have problems with the votes for the Winter Solider. It's just "Bucky is more skilled." Which is hardly the case as Claire is just as skilled as Bucky. He's been trained since child birth and toys with skilled fighters such as Ladd. And I doubt his experience is enough to actually overwhelm Claire as he's fought immortals in the past with much much more expensive than Bucky. "His aggressive fighting style." And? What is this supposed to mean? Claire was literally toying around with Ladd Russo who's just as aggressive if not more aggressive when it comes to fighting than Bucky is.


Anyway, voting for the Rail Tracer via fighting opponents who are much more experienced than Bucky ( Ronny has existed since 300 B.C. And Claire and Ronny are equals. Bucky's experience pales in comparison to that.) Better agility and maneuverability, higher stamina and endurance, equal if not superior skill and having experience with similar opponents such as Ladd who he stomped with ease.

No. Seriously Claire laughs at Bucky's "skill" in comparison. I love the MCU but no. Claire legitimately by Word of God solos his entire verse. He has been stated to be the greatest assassin in the world.

No Claire is most definitely the more skilled one here by miles

You do realize that means literally nothing in a fight between characters from different verses right
 
Bucky FRA. He went toe to toe with Cap even when Cap had his shield, and should be more skillful in a CQC match
 
@Schnee, that may be true, but Claire has been stated to be prodigally superior in skill to Niles, who has been fighting and killing since the 1730's.

Additionally, while he is cocky and arrogant, Claire doesn't seem to hold back in fights unless he has a point he wants to make to his opponent or wants to prolong it to be with Chane. I don't think Winter Soldier's efficiency is as big of an advantage as it would normally be.

Additionally, Claire's exact AP isn't known. We just know that he's casually superior to several 9-As fighting at once.
 
Claire's able to toy with people with hundreds of years more experience than Bucky, and could solo his whole verse (which has several characters like that, and many other strong and highly experienced fighters) at once. He's displayed feats of skill like dodging attack by seeing it reflected in the opponent's eyes. His AP comes from a decent length stomp/stronger than chain from a baseline, so Bucky being 3x above baseline isn't much of an AP advantage, if one at all.

I'd say Claire should be more skilled and will take this (if speed is equalized)

@Schnee Yeah unfortunately the Baccano calcs ended up being problematic because the feat in question is not represented super clearly in the anime.

However, I would assume that being casually superior to an immortal warrior, who's casually superior to a vampire, who's casually superior to three different confirmed 9-As and can take on two of them at once would put someone above baseline.
 
It would but said calc for Marvel 9As was done extremely casually.

And Bucky's Arm is solidely above the feat as even Captian America with both arms at full strength couldn't overpower it
