Both are 4-B

Speed is equalized

Inconclusive: 0

Luke Skywalker: 0

Martian Manhunter: 16

You stole my idea.

But i honestly don't know, if Luke can precog him he has a chance, but Martian Manhunter's mind resistance is pretty damn high.

I'm going Inconclusive until i get more info.

Mind hax.

Mind hax everywhere.

Anyways, Luke simply has much better featery. He scales to mindhaxing trillions of people, and nothing the Manhunter has done compares. Not to mention precognition.

But Manhunter can mindhax tier 2's.

Yeah Luke's mindscrew is far weaker then MM

That said. Does MM lead with it?

How does a person's tier effect their resistance to mind hax, again? Unless this Tier 2 has a good resistance feat, it's not as good as mindhaxing Trillions of different people.

Well Spectre can perceive the entire Universe on subatomic level, and can visualize all posssibilities of a Universe. Mind controlling somebody like him is a pretty damn good feat. I would put it as more impressive as mind controlling a random trillion fodders, given how complex his mind is.

Apparently there's also a SW feat about mind controlling every being in the galaxy/universe that Luke scales to still not quite as impressive as MM's tho

Much better. Now I can say Manhunter definitely wins.

Yeah, he has decent resistance fightning other specialist telepaths. Nobody else has as good feats as him though.

Wait..... Is there any real consistency with Manhunter's mindhax being so powerful?

Given he's likely the strongest mortal telepath in DC comics, yes it's consistent.

Question: In scenarios like this, how exactly does these two "not having enough mind resistance" prevent there from being a mental struggle between the two if one decides to use their mindhax?

I generally find that to be dumb. That's like saying a character who can swing a sword won't be able to clash with some other person who can swing their sword, or claiming that two trained wrestlers can't possibly engage in a grappling match because the two of them have "no shown resistance to being grabbed".

More to the point though, direct psychic battles are a thing, particularly in DC where such things have actually been shown before. (In fact, I'm almost positive that members of J'onn's own race have been shown engaging in them on at least one occasion) And in those scenarios, it's usually the more skilled and powerful telepath that wins.

I could vote inconclusive, but I am leaning to the guy who has stronger mind hax.

What is the raw number their mind hax? Luke is planetery with illusions and mind tricks and galactic with telepathy.

And MM? I have no clue.

Also, King is right. Psychic battles are a thing. Heck, that is one of the reasons why Cthuhlu won. He has 'stronger' mind hax.

Plus, tired of inconclusive votes. Sure, if there is no counter argument, fine. But this makes me wonder on who has the stronger mind hax.

Well, for starters, the "numbers" argument doesn't matter against J'onn. He's one of very few 3-D characters whose telepathy/mindhax works on high-end Tier 2s, a feat which A) was recently agreed to be impossible for a normal person's mindhax to do unless said person has been shown doing so, and B) is qualitatively superior to anything that even the great Sidious himself has done, much less Luke. (and I'm well aware of what the two of them are capable of) And as mentioned above, his mental powers worked on a being who could perceive the entire universe on a subatomic level and visualize all possibilities of a universe, which makes said character's mind astronomically harder to deal with than any normal mind.

But, if you really want to compare his other feats on top of all that:

  • J'onn has telepathically protected himself from the En'Tarans, who were capable of mentally enslaving the entire population of the planet Rann, and punked the rest of the Justice League with mind control alone.
    • For the record, many of the JL members possess plot armor mental resistances that have protected them from fairly strong telepaths throughout the current timeline. As a non-PIS example, Green Lantern in particular has resisted a planetary-scale telepath more than once.
    • J'onn has also mindwiped the entire Justice League at once by himself, so his feat of shielding himself from the En'Tarans is far from an outlier.
  • He's scanned the minds of everyone on Earth on multiple occasions.
  • His telepathy/mind-reading is galactic in terms of reach and scale.
  • He's summoned the thoughts of everyone on Earth in an instant and used them to assault another Martian telepath. And this was done while the two of them were on Mars.
  • It was revealed that he was subconsciously keeping the entire Martian race (all of whom were telepaths) from moving on to the afterlife after their population died off.
Personally, I'd say he's got the better mental powers out of these two. Luke has scaling to a trillion-person mindhaxing feat, which is impressive and all, but not really enough to win in this case.

Hmmm. I guess I will vote for MM. Plus, he has a better variety of experience. He has fought everyone practically. MM via superior mind hax and better experience.

MM via superior mind hax, experience and just being able to one shot him via massive AP advantage really

Sorry to break it to you, but last I checked MM is baseline SS. He is 7.0x10^46 joules (unless I am missing a new calc)

Luke is likely higher, although he does not have the experience to back it up.

Edit: Even if he isnt higher, the two are likely equal.

^Yeah I was about to say, J'onn scales to those. Definitely not "baseline".

This is my bad, I admit but in my defense, this is not on his profile. I am cool with scaling him to the flash tho, which puts him a at mid end ss.

Not sure if he one shots tho.
