I've got two people say he wouldn't try to do it in character, mentioning he didn't do it against a Wumpa or whatever was that nameHe will, he wont hesitate to kill if his life is in danger.

The Wumpa? Luke cut off its arm and ran, which is a natural reaction towards a wild beast.. Luke literally kills Stormtroopers and destroys TIE fighters in A New Hope. He won't hesitate to kill a demon.I've got two people say he wouldn't try to do it in character, mentioning he didn't do it against a Wumpa or whatever was that name
He doesn't know Dante is a Demon, there is a wide variety of races in SW that look so different then humans Dante could very much be one of them in Luke's eyes, unless Luke would just kill someone that looks a bit differentThe Wumpa? Pings don't work for non staff members, you need to go to their wall
He already kills humans. He wont't hesistateHe doesn't know Dante is a Demon, there is a wide variety of races in SW that look so different then humans Dante could very much be one of them in Luke's eyes, unless Luke would just kill someone that looks a bit different
I already got told by two other people he wouldn't kill Dante on the first strike a few weeks ago since Dante is just, in theory, just a random person that is not affiliated with the Empire. My reasoning stays the same unless someone can show me Luke killing someone that is not affiliated with the Empire without trying to disarm them firstHe already kills humans. He wont't hesistate

Here is him murdering criminals unaffiliated with the empire. I know that is an older Luke, but nothing indicates Luke is hesitant to kill before this.
The assumption that he hesitates to kill unless you are an imperial is so weird and unsupported by anything I know off.
My guy, if someone skilled is trying to literally murder a person, they would naturally retaliate in self-defense, even killing them. NOTHING backs up the whole "Luke won't kill unless you are a criminal or imperial"Aren't those the same guys who are keeping his sister prisoner with barely any clothes?
It is not weird, because Dante is not a criminal, he is not affiliated with the Empire, he is a guy who thinks he can beat Luke, Dante wouldn't even sound threatening and would joke around in their first engagement
Dante is not trying to kill LukeMy guy, if someone skilled is trying to literally murder a person, they would naturally retaliate in self-defense, even killing them. NOTHING backs up the whole "Luke won't kill unless you are a criminal or imperial"
I guess Dante should also hesitate since he has never killed a space wizard with a laser sword lg. This argument is just headcanon.
Dante tries to kill Luke, and Luke also tries to kill him back. The end.
And Luke tries to kill him regardless.Dante is not trying to kill Luke
Once again, I'm not convinced given what people told me already here. Dante would joke around before the fight even began, he is using a normal metal sword, as far as Luke goes why he would he see that as an ultimate threat that needs to be put down? He probably knows he can cut off Dante's sword instead of just going for the kill in the first slash, Dante shouldn't pose that much a threat to warrant thatAnd Luke tries to kill him regardless.
Luke's first move wouldn't be to go in for a kill. He would be more likely to try to incapacitate rather than kill without reason, as he could easily slice Dante's sword and, in the worst case, cut off a limb instead of killing him outright. Besides, Dante wouldn't kill a human even if he were at a disadvantage. And Luke tries to kill him regardless.
In the Star Wars Universe?Wait a second this is devil trigger Dante right? Then Luke would absolutely see him as some rabid monster rather than a guy.
Dante can talk, he wouldn't stay silentYeah most aliens that are especially inhuman are like rapid animals or crazed bandit men. A fire dude swinging a sword at him would be abnormal even for Star Wars unless you know literally every alien. Like yeti guy was just a crazy creature to Luke, he didn’t even second guess that and the Sand people are crazy goobers from his perspective too
I mean he has like fiery veins too, but like still a red spooky demon dude that’s completely abnormal for like 70 to 80% of the galaxy.Dante is also not a fire dude, he's a red dude with white hair
Seems like it is English but it is called something else in universeIn English, does Luke speak English or generic alien language
Then it isn’t English, it’s just translated for the audience. Luke is going to have no clue what he’s saying and thus view him like the tusken who he kills on sight.Seems like it is English but it is called something else in universe
"Basic is the name given to the English language in the Star Wars saga"Then it isn’t English, it’s just translated for the audience. Luke is going to have no clue what he’s saying and thus view him like the tusken who he kills on sight.
He compares to a movie who uses different swear words because of the periodThe quote right above it says basic doesn’t sound like English at that.
Luke's life is threatened here, and honestly? What's Dante gonna do if he loses his sword or a limb? His skill advantage is meaningless since IRL a skilled dude is cooked against an unskilled guy with a knife, now imagine the latter wielding a laser sword.Luke's first move wouldn't be to go in for a kill. Ngl, this is really that exact same situation.Luke's life is threatened here, and honestly? What's Dante gonna do if he loses his sword or a limb? Gun.Ngl, this is really that exact same situation.
Luke does this really funny thing called blocking and dodging till that mf runs out of ammo and kills him while he reloadsGun.
Blocking doesn't really work on bullets.Luke does this really funny thing called blocking and dodging till that mf runs out of ammo and kills him while he reloads
I'm willing to bet Luke is breaking before the guns do.They break. Although depending on how Dante uses them, they may be useful, the truth is that they will eventually break.
Body Control, Statistics Amplification, Damage Boost and Limited Immortality (Type 2) (Those who are strong in the Force and learn to control it can perform extraordinary physical feats — such as leaping impossible distances, moving with superhuman speed and strength, resisting pain or injuries that would be lethal to others, shrugging off the effects of fatigue, and benefiting from naturally enhanced reflexes — for the Force flows through all living beings and, when properly channeled, something most Force-users find relatively simple to do, allows them to overcome natural limitations with precision and grace; with practice, these users can achieve an almost miraculous command over their bodies, allowing the Force to suffuse their movements and imbue them with strength, agility, and elegance far beyond the ordinary)I'm willing to bet Luke is breaking before the guns do.
How?I'm willing to bet Luke is breaking before the guns do.
This comes from a Dark Horse Legends comic. Not canon.
