I don't think this is currently a good match. We don't know the exact limits of Zeref's death magic, only that he has some, or even if he uses his time manipulation in combat. On the other hand, we don't know how good Zeref's Regenerationn is. So for now we have no idea if one of them can actually kill the other. Maybe it would be better to wait until Zeref has more combat scenes and feats.
